Ansiedad preoperatoria y dolor postquirúrgico en pacientes del servicio de cirugía de un hospital estatal, Nuevo Chimbote, 2024

Introducción: La ansiedad preoperatoria y el dolor postquirúrgico son dos aspectos críticos en el manejo de pacientes que se someten a intervenciones quirúrgicas. La ansiedad antes de la cirugía, caracterizada por sentimientos de miedo, preocupación y nerviosismo, puede influir significativamente en la percepción y la intensidad del dolor experimentado después de la operación. El objetivo del estudio será “determinar cuál es la relación entre la ansiedad preoperatoria y el dolor postquirúrgico en los pacientes del servicio de cirugía de un hospital estatal, Nuevo Chimbote 2024”. Metodología: El estudio seguirá el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, con un diseño no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional, transversal, donde participarán 186 pacientes, a quiénes se les administrará dos instrumentos “Inventario de ansiedad estado – rasgo de Spielberger” y “Escala visual analógica”. Los datos recopilados serán analizados en el software estadístico SPSS 26.0, utilizando la prueba de normalidad de Kolmogrorov – Smirnov, para determinar la normalidad de las variables, luego de aplicará la prueba de Chi-cuadrado para establecer la posible relación entre las variables.

Characteristics of pain in post-operative abdominal surgery patients at the San José de Chincha Hospital, 2020

Materials and methods: The research will have a quantitative approach and will use observation as a technique; The type of research is transactional and the design is descriptive, in order to explain in detail the behavior of the variable in its spontaneous state. When using the descriptive design, it is expected that its obvious limitations are that it does not express cause-effect relationships, nor does it generate new theory. The unit of analysis is the post-abdominal surgery patients at the San José de Chincha hospital. The population that was determined in a six-month care period reached a total of 600 patients, who, through probabilistic sampling, were determined as a sample of 124 patients, subject to the regulatory exclusion and inclusion criteria and consent. informed, the MCGILL pain scale instrument will be used, with which the variables and indicators will be measured

Cuidado de enfermería en el manejo del dolor post quirúrgico y la satisfacción del paciente del servicio de cirugía del hospital de Lima - 2025

La enfermera debe asumir un papel fundamental en el manejo del dolor, aplicando conocimientos actuales para mitigar el dolor y empleando buenas prácticas en su valoración. Objetivo: Determinar si existe relación entre el cuidado de enfermería en el manejo del dolor postquirúrgico y la satisfacción del paciente postoperado en el servicio de cirugía del Hospital de Lima – 2025. Metodología: Es cuantitativa, descriptiva y de corte transversal, con una población de 220 pacientes postoperados mayores de 18 años, durante marzo, abril y mayo de 2025. La muestra fue no probabilística, obteniendo 190 pacientes. Se emplearán dos cuestionarios elaborados por Coenche G. en 2022 para medir las variables. Ambos cuestionarios fueron validados por un grupo de expertos (prueba binomial- 0,011) y evaluados por prueba piloto con un índice de confiabilidad (Alpha de Cronbach= 0,928 para el de calidad y 0,896 para el de satisfacción). Los datos se analizarán utilizando el programa SPSS v.26, aplicando distribución de frecuencias y media aritmética. Con un valor de correlación de 0.255. Este estudio subraya la necesidad de seguir investigando sobre el manejo del dolor y la satisfacción del paciente, con el fin de mejorar los protocolos de atención de enfermería y contribuir a una mejor recuperación postquirúrgica. Los resultados se presentarán en tablas y gráficos. La relación entre las variables se examinará mediante la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman.

Effectiveness of music therapy in reducing pain in adult patients after surgery with general anesthesia

Objective: Synthesize the evidence of the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing postoperative pain in adult patients with general anesthesia. Material and methods: The present systematic review consists of 10 scientific articles on the effectiveness of the use of music in adult patients after surgery with general anesthesia. These evidences were obtained from the following databases Pubmed, Epistemonikos, Scielo, Elsevier, Cochrane Plus and Google scholar. According to the Grade System we can show that 100% (10/10) of studies were of high quality. The Systematic Review was the study design used in 90% (9/10) of the investigations; The meta-analysis followed with 10% (1/10). Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% (10/10) demonstrate that the use of music in post-operative adult patients is effective in reducing post-operative pain. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles reviewed, all 10 show the effectiveness of the use of music therapy in the management of postoperative pain in adult patients with general anesthesia.

Efficacy of the use of self-adhesive mesh versus conventional mesh in the prevention of postoperative complications of inguinal hernioplasty in the general surgery service

Objectives: Determine the effectiveness of using self-adhesive mesh versus conventional mesh in post-inguinal hernioplasty patients. Methodology/Methods: Systematic reviews are the best effort to compile and synthesize scientific evidence on the topic, through a method that ensures that the biases and limitations that we have mentioned in 8 scientific articles published and indexed in the databases, which corresponds to articles published in Spanish. Results: In the final selection, 8 articles were chosen, we found that 20% (02) correspond to Chile, and 10% (1) in Mexico, Spain, Bolivia, Colombia, USA, Cuba respectively. Among the articles we have (6) experimental, quasi-experimental (1), cases and controls (1). Where the total of articles analyzed 60% affirm that the use of self-adhesive mesh compared to conventional mesh is long-term benefit in hernias inguinal. Conclusions: It was evident in the reviewed research that there is effectiveness of self-adhesive mesh and polypropylene mesh in preventing postoperative complications in inguinal hernia with supposed benefits in reducing surgical time and reducing postoperative pain without increasing the number of complications or recurrences.

Nursing management of postoperative pain and satisfaction in patients of the post-anesthetic recovery unit of the Barranca hospital Cajatambo, 2023

Objective: To establish the relationship between nursing management of postoperative pain and satisfaction in patients in the post-anesthesia recovery unit of the Barranca Cajatambo hospital, 2023. Methodology: Study with a quantitative approach, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population will be made up of 1800 postoperative patients, the sample will be made up of 217 patients, through a probabilistic sampling. Data collection techniques and instruments: For both variables, the survey and the questionnaire will be used as instruments; Data collection will take place over a period of 2 months, from February to March 2023, then the data will be processed and analyzed through the SPSS Version 25.0 program. Statistical Analysis: The tables of frequencies or percentages will be used for the descriptive analysis and for the verification of the hypothesis the inferential statistics will be used, according to the analysis of the normality of the data, the nature of the variable and the scale of their measurement, parametric or non-parametric tests will be applied as appropriate.
