Consumo y gasto de antimicrobianos con consideraciones especiales de uso en el servicio de medicina interna sala "San Pedro" del Hospital Nacional Dos de mayo – 2019

Introduction: The inappropriate use of antimicrobials is generating an increase in antimicrobial resistance, which has become a global problem. Objective: To determine the consumption and cost of antimicrobials with special usage considerations in the 'San Pedro' internal medicine ward of the Dos de Mayo National Hospital in 2019. Methodology: This was a descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, and retrospective study. A documentary analysis technique was used for data collection, with information extracted from the pharmacy department's computer system. The ATC/DDD methodology was used to calculate the DDD/100 bed-days to represent antimicrobial consumption, and an arithmetic calculation was performed for the cost. Results: 13 antimicrobials were identified, of which meropenem had the highest demand, representing 35.70% of the annual total, while linezolid had the lowest turnover at 0.03%. The most consumed antimicrobial was meropenem, which had a DDD/100 bed-days of 10.81, followed by vancomycin with 9.27 DDD/100 bed-days. The total annual cost was 110.02 thousand soles. Conclusions: The consumption of 13 antimicrobials was determined, with meropenem being the most consumed and generating the highest total cost of 59.51 thousand soles.

Costos de preparación de insumos médicos y su relación con la compra de insumos médicos en la central de esterilización.

Objetivo: Analizar la evaluación de costos de preparación de insumos médicos y su relacióncon la compra de insumos médicos en la central de esterilización. la presente investigaciónes de tipo cuantitativo, utilizándose la recopilación de datos demostrando la hipótesis;sustentando el análisis estadístico además del análisis de las cualidades o atributos utilizadospara llegar a los resultados del análisis presentado. al hablar de una investigacióncuantitativa, el ámbito estadístico es tácito, entonces es en lo que se basa este proyecto,analizando una realidad objetiva dándole valores numéricos y análisis estadísticosdeterminando los posibles futuros comportamientos del fenómeno o problema planteado.

Disponibilidad y precio de medicamentos para el tratamiento de COVID-19 en oficinas farmacéuticas ubicadas en el distrito de San Martin de Porres, Lima 2021

Since COVID-19 entered Peru, the increase in demand for medications caused shortages, poor availability, and price increases. Objective: To determine the availability and price of medications for the treatment of COVID-19 in pharmaceutical offices. Methodology: This was a descriptive study using a deductive method, a quantitative approach, an applied type, and a non-experimental, cross-sectional, prospective, observational design. The population consisted of 632 pharmaceutical offices, with a sample of 205 drugstores and pharmacies, which were surveyed. Results: Azithromycin 500 mg tablets (100.0%) and Paracetamol 500 mg tablets (100.0%) showed higher availability than Ivermectin 6 mg/mL oral liquid (94.1%) and Dexamethasone phosphate 4 mg/2mL injectable (94.6%). Hydroxychloroquine sulfate 400 mg (26.8%) showed POOR availability. The medication with the highest share of cost in its sale was Azithromycin 500 mg tablets (45.4%). Hydroxychloroquine sulfate 400 mg (50.7%) showed that cost has a smaller share in its sale. Conclusion: Pharmaceutical offices in the San Martín de Porres district showed, on average, GOOD availability of medications for COVID-19 treatment (83.1%), and it was determined that price is an important factor in the medication purchase decision.

Nivel de conocimiento y uso del Observatorio de Precios de Productos Farmacéuticos en los pobladores de la Zona III del distrito de Ate, marzo, 2022

The ongoing research had the objective of determining the relationship between the level of knowledge and use of the Pharmaceutical Product Price Observatory (PPPO) among residents of Zone III of the Ate District. Methodology: The method was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach, and a non-experimental correlational design. The population consisted of residents of Zone III of the Ate district in 2022. The technique was a survey, and the instruments were a structured questionnaire and a CAP (Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices) questionnaire. Results: The Sociodemographic Characteristics obtained showed that the majority are people aged >36 years, the predominant gender is female, the educational level is secondary, the occupation is homemaker, and the place of birth is the province. Conclusion: The general hypothesis yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.657, which represents a considerable positive correlation. The results of the specific hypotheses were: (1) knowledge and use of the PPPO yielded a coefficient of 0.659, representing a considerable positive correlation. (2) attitudes and use of the PPPO indicated a coefficient of 0.557, representing a considerable positive correlation. (3) practices and use of the PPPO showed a coefficient of 0.530, representing a considerable positive correlation. (4) barriers and knowledge level yielded a coefficient of 0.691, indicating a considerable positive correlation. (5) accessibility and knowledge level indicated a coefficient of 0.537, representing a considerable positive correlation. (6) training and knowledge level yielded a coefficient of 0.673, indicating a considerable positive correlation.
