Methodology: The research used a non-experimental descriptive design. Results: Among the counterfeit medications issued in DIGEMID alerts, Dolocordralam Extra Forte had the highest percentage at 5.3%, followed by Panadol Antigripal (4.8%) and Gravol 50 mg (4.2%). In the ATC classification, the musculoskeletal system led with 33.4%. By pharmaceutical form, tablets took the first place with 42.4%. By generic and/or commercial name classification, commercial (brand) names led with 99.24%. By department, Lima obtained the highest percentage with 69.3%, and the largest year-on-year increase was in 2013 with 2400%. Conclusions: The most counterfeited medication is Dolocordralam Extra Forte, and the years 2013 and 2016 showed the highest counterfeiting of medications in Peru.
