José Olaya Balandra – Chorrillos, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-20) Catire Najarro, Eli David; Guadalupe Sifuentes de Posadas, Luz FabiolaThe study aimed to analyze blood glucose levels before and after the consumption of beverages made with sweeteners in adults from the AAHH José Olaya Balandra. A quantitative approach was employed, with a sample of 8 people, and a data sheet was used to collect blood glucose analysis results. The data were tabulated in Excel and analyzed using the statistical test "Paired t-test for means" in SPSS version 25. Results: Participants consumed 4 types of beverages on different days. After 30 minutes of consuming "Cola Zero," there was a significant decrease of 7.1 mg/dL in glucose levels. "Frugos del Valle" caused a significant increase of 33.6 mg/dL at 10 minutes, followed by a decrease of 3.7 mg/dL at 30 minutes. "Free Tea" resulted in a significant increase of 23.5 mg/dL at 10 minutes and 3.7 mg/dL at 30 minutes. "Regular Cola" caused a significant increase of 38.5 mg/dL at 10 minutes and a decrease of 25.8 mg/dL at 30 minutes post-consumption. Conclusion: Beverages made with sweeteners influenced participants' blood glucose levels. "Cola Zero" reduced blood glucose concentrations, while the other three beverages caused increases at various times after consumption.
