Publicación Acceso abierto Factores psicosociales y la satisfacción laboral de los docentes de una universidad pública de Piura, 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-09-16) Requena Sullon, Stefany del Socorro; Ramos Vera, Rosario PilarIn the university setting, faculty job satisfaction is considered essential for ensuring both educational quality and institutional well-being. Research has shown that psychosocial factors, such as the work environment, stress, motivation, and social support, are determinants of faculty satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to determine the direct relationship between psychosocial factors and the job satisfaction of university faculty members at a public university in Piura. A basic research study was conducted using a hypothetical-deductive method, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional correlational design, and a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 80 teachers from the Faculties of Industrial Engineering and Mechatronics, who were administered two questionnaires on psychosocial factors and job satisfaction S20/23. The results showed that this relationship is negative and of moderate magnitude. Spearman's rho = -0.429 and p = 0.000. This means that as psychosocial factors become more unfavorable, job satisfaction decreases among teachers. In the Psychosocial Factors variable, 50% had a low level of psychosocial factors, while the other 50% had a medium level. In the Job Satisfaction variable, 56.3% had a high level of job satisfaction, 38.8% had a medium level, and only 5% had a low level. This means that as psychosocial factors become more unfavorable, job satisfaction decreased among teachers.Publicación Acceso abierto Los factores socioeconómicos, académicos e individuales y su relación con la deserción estudiantil en una universidad privada de Lima – periodo 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-15) Basurto Santillan, Ivan Javier; Huaita Acha, Delsi MarielaThe objective of this research was to determine to what extent socioeconomic, academic and individual factors are related to student dropout at a private university in Lima during the period 2019. The study was developed within the parameters of the quantitative approach. Basic research was used, since from the theory the behavior of the study variables and the existing relationships has been evidenced. The method was the hypothetical deductive, understood as those procedures that arise from the hypotheses to refute or falsify them, drawing conclusions that must be confronted with the facts. The design was non-experimental and descriptive-correlational level, since it describes how the variables are manifested. The population was 903 dropout students and the sample of 145 students from the various schools and faculties of the Norbert Wiener Private University. The instrument was the questionnaire. It was concluded that there is a relationship coefficient of r = 0.799 between the variables socioeconomic, academic and individual factors and student dropout and a significance of p = 0.000, consequently, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted.
