Publicación Acceso abierto Prevalencia del toxocara canis en excretas de perros e infecciones oculares en pobladores aledaños a los parques en el distrito de Villa El Salvador, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-08-04) Valderrama Rodríguez, Marcela Mercedes; Rincón Chávez, JoséThe research work is based on determining the prevalence of Toxocara canis in dog excreta and eye infections in people living near the parks of the district of Villa el Salvador, since it is common to find Toxocara canis in dog excreta, as the eggs of this parasite are expelled along with the feces. The high number of eggs generated by the adult female (250,000 per day) contributes to environmental pollution, while the methodology of the study was based on an applied quantitative approach, a non-experimental design and an analytical method. The instrument had a high reliability, the results obtained are being described in the results of the thesis, the following conclusion was reached: The prevalence of toxocara canis in dog excreta and eye infections in people living near the parks of the district of Villa el Salvador was determined. A total of 159 adult species were found in the microscopic analysis.
