Objective: To determine the relationship between the burnout syndrome and the work performance of nursing professionals in the ICU of Metropolitan Lima, 2023. Methods: applied, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional research. The population will be made up of 80 nurses (os) who work in the Intensive Care Unit of Metropolitan Lima. To collect the data, 2 tools validated in previous studies will be used: Professional burnout syndrome and the job performance questionnaire. The technique to be used will be the survey to measure the impact of professional burnout syndrome on job performance. The statistical analysis calculations will be carried out using the statistical package SPSS version 26. Knowing its probable implications in the management of their daily care tasks is of interest to the profession and even more so to emergency services. Preventing stress is essential, because an early diagnosis will make the solution to the problem in less time and will reduce its consequences.Ítem Acceso abierto Stress and Job Performance in Healthcare Personnel Working with COVID Patients in a Healthcare Facility in Lima - 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-25) Flores Mondragón, Angie Elisabet; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between stress and job performance in healthcare personnel working with COVID patients at a healthcare facility in Lima. The research was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective, with 80 healthcare professionals from the Essalud Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital participating. A questionnaire on occupational stress (Pietro and Trucco) and the ISHI INTERCOL questionnaire for job performance, both previously validated, were used as instruments. The results indicated that workers with a high level of stress exhibited moderate job performance in 53% of cases. Additionally, it was determined that professionals with moderate stress had poor job performance in 57.7%. On the other hand, it was found that there is no relationship between the dimensions of physiological stress, psychological stress, and stressors with job performance. In conclusion, a significant relationship between stress and job performance was found among healthcare personnel working with COVID patients in a healthcare facility in Lima.
