(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Espinoza Vargas, Raquel Silbia; Bonilla Asalde, César Antonio
Objective: Analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of an educational intervention for the prevention of dengue in people residing in an endemic area. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, which synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations. In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, we found that 10% (01) correspond to national, with 90% (09) we find International. Mostly quasi-experimental studies have been studied, with 50%, mainly in the country of Colombia. Results: After the interventions, changes were evident in: a significant decrease in dengue vector breeding sites at the household level (90%), an increase in active community participation (85%), a significant increase in the level of knowledge of the patients after the intervention (90%), among other indicators. Conclusions: It is concluded that when analyzing the evidence on the effectiveness of an educational intervention for the prevention of dengue in people residing in endemic areas, they are 100% effective, if they are in constant use.

Objective: Analyze the evidence of the effectiveness of an educational intervention to improve adherence to treatment and lifestyles in reducing the level of glycosylated hemoglobin in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Material and methods: Systematic review in 10 scientific articles. found in effectiveness of an educational intervention to improve adherence to treatment and lifestyles in reducing the level of glycosylated hemoglobin, in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, were cited in the following Pubmed databases, lilacs, Scielo and Regional Portal of the Virtual Health Library; all analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of 10 articles reviewed and analyzed, 40% (n= 4/10) systematic reviews, 40% (n= 4/10) randomized controlled trials, 10% (n= 1/10) quasi-experimental studies and the 10% (n= 1/10) pre-experimental. Of the 10 articles found, 100% demonstrate that the educational intervention in adherence to treatment and healthy lifestyles is effective in reducing glycosylated hemoglobin in patients with type 2 diabetes. Conclusion: 10 of the 10 articles found indicate that the educational intervention in adherence to treatment and healthy lifestyles is effective in reducing glycosylated hemoglobin in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Efficacy of Cuff Pressure Control in Patients With Endotracheal Tube
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Aguilar Tafur, Sory Marianita; Socla Cadenas, Paulina Yaqueline; Gamarra Bustillos, Carlos
Objective: Systematize and analyze the effectiveness of cuff pressure control in patients with an endotracheal tube. Methodology: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading to identify their level of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, we found that 30% (03) correspond to Iran, with 10% (01) we find the United States, France, Switzerland, Spain, India and Venezuela respectively. It has been studied that the majority of these were quasi-experimental studies, with 40%, mainly in the countries of Iran, India, Venezuela and Mexico. A Meta-analysis of France was found, with 10%, with 20% randomized clinical trials, mainly in the countries of the United States and Spain, likewise 20% we have experimental studies and 10% descriptive studies in Iran. Where of the total articles analyzed; 80% affirm that the use of a manometer to control cuff pressure in patients with an endotracheal tube is the most effective and the digital palpation technique is not a reliable measure to estimate pressure. Conclusions: It was evident in the reviewed research that the use of a manometer to control cuff pressure in patients with an endotracheal tube is the most effective and palpation is not a reliable measure to estimate the pressure, thereby reducing the risk. of tracheal mucosal lesions in patients treated in critical units.

Efficacy of early extubation vs. conventional intubation in reducing the hospital stay of older adults undergoing cardiac surgery
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Cruzado Garay, Liliana Margot; Espinoza Ramirez, Rosa Guadalupe; Gómez Gonzales, Walter Edgar
Objective: To establish the effectiveness of early extubation vs. conventional extubation in reducing the hospital stay of older adults undergoing cardiac surgery. Materials and Methods: The systematic bibliographic review is Observational and retrospective in Spanish, with a history of no more than 5 years, the search has been restricted to full-text articles and which have been selected through critical reading. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, 10% being Chile and 90% of other Latin American countries, no attempt was made to calculate the sample sizes required to determine if the mortality rates and major morbidities after cardiac surgery They change depending on the moment chosen to perform the extubation. 30% are Quasi-experimental studies, another 30% are Random Studies applying conventional extubation with early extubation and prospective studies of the study criteria considering risk factors and patient age in search of evaluating the morbidity and mortality of the patients. patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Conclusions: It was evident in scientific research and systematic reviews of the different types of randomized, quasi-randomized and prospective studies that consider Early Extubation effective in cardiac surgery patients, which reduces the risk of infection and the hospital stay of the post-surgery patient. cardiac surgery, therefore, reduces institutional costs. In addition, the nurse plays important roles in standardizing the care of the intubated patient through timely care in the patency of secretions, position of the patient, well-being and maintenance of the physical and mental comfort of the patient undergoing cardiac surgery.
