Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation versus conventional cardiopulmonary resuscitation in critical areas(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-24) Barrera Villegas, Melva Alexandra; López Guillen, Yamíl Silenia; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleThe systematic reviews of the 10 scientific articles on the effectiveness of extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation versus conventional resuscitation in critical areas resulted in 100% of the articles indicating that extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation is more effective compared to conventional resuscitation, because it reduces neurological sequelae and increases the survival rate, reduces long-term neurological sequelae, improves the patient's health status and prevents injuries in patients with cardiorespiratory arrest, avoiding hypoxia. Extracorporeal resuscitation increases the frequency of return of spontaneous circulation with the support of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in prolonged cardiorespiratory arrest.
