Ítem Acceso abierto Implication of third molar eruption in lower anterior crowding in young patients, Tacna, 2021.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-02) Cervantes Cervantes, Maracely Alejandra; Meneses Gomez, Nadia CarolinaThe aim of this study was to determine the degree of involvement of third molar eruption in anteroinferior crowding in young patients in Tacna, 2021. The research method was deductive, with a quantitative approach, basic type, correlational level, and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 150 panoramic dental radiographs of young patients. A data collection sheet was used to determine the study objective. The results showed that 68.5% of young patients exhibited a high degree of involvement of third molars with anteroinferior crowding. Additionally, a higher incidence of dental crowding was observed in females, with 43.5% in relation to the third molars. Furthermore, 17% of young patients showed greater dental crowding in the right third molar in the mesioangular position, and 15.7% showed greater crowding in the left third molar in the horizontal position. It was found that 45.4% of young patients presented mostly moderate dental crowding in the third molars. The study concluded that there is a high degree of involvement of third molar eruption in anteroinferior crowding.
