Ítem Acceso abierto Resilience in adolescents of the first year of secondary of the maria educational institution stop of bellido del Rimac, Lima - 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-07-18) Soncco Quispe, Zinthia Luz; Matta Solis, Hernán HugoObjective: To determine the resilience in first-year high school students of the "María Parado de Bellido" Educational Institution in Rímac, 2019. Materials and methods: A quantitative approach with a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional design. The total population consisted of 244 first-year high school students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used was the survey, and the instrument applied was the 25-item Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), which was developed and validated. Results: Regarding resilience, we found that 144 adolescents, representing 59%, had medium resilience; 92 adolescents, representing 38%, had high resilience; and 8 adolescents, representing 3%, had low resilience. Regarding the dimensions of resilience, in persistence-tenacity-self-efficacy, high resilience predominated (49%); in control under pressure, medium resilience predominated (68%); in adaptation and recovery capacity, medium resilience predominated (53%); in control and purpose, high resilience predominated (54%); and in spirituality, high resilience predominated (46%). Conclusion: The majority of the study population presented medium resilience. On the other hand, regarding the dimensions of resilience, the highest percentage was in control and purpose, while the lowest was in the spirituality dimension.
