This study seeks to understand how coping strategies influence stress management among nurses. Objective: The general objective is to determine the relationship between coping strategies and work-related stress in nurses at a hospital in Huaraz in 2024.Methodology: The study will be based on a quantitative approach, using the hypothetical-deductive method. Data will be collected through a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. Materials and methods: hypothetical deductive methods Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, and non-experimental design, with a population of 80 relatives of psychiatric patients who attend the INSM Honorio Delgado-Hideyo emergency service Noguchi, in the period of June - July 2022, the anxiety level will be measured, which was used as the Hamilton anxiety scale with 13 items and 4 response options for psychological anxiety and somatic anxiety with Results: 40 to 52, medium 16 to 36, mild 16 to 25. Level of satisfaction with nursing care in family was measured with a Likert scale with 4 response options and a 24-hour questionnaire was used. Information, human warmth and comfort, and technical and scientific items, obtaining the satisfaction rating scale as: Low (24-55), Medium (56-88) and High (89-120). Results: The effects will be displayed in statistical tables and graphs, using measures of central tendency for quantitative analysis. Conclusions: This research will allow us to improve the level of anxiety and the level of satisfaction with nursing care in family members of psychiatric patients who attend the emergency service, taking into account productivity for the benefit of patients and the institution.
