(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-04-30) Portocarrero Chavez, Percy; Moscoso Mujica, Gladys Angélica
The present research aimed to identify the relationship between the ethnopharmacological knowledge and use of medicinal plants for common diseases in the district of Molinopampa Chachapoyas, Amazonas-Peru 2024. The study was basic, cross-sectional, correlational in nature, and non-experimental in design; the sample consisted of 327 inhabitants of both sexes from the district of Molinopampa – Chachapoyas, and a questionnaire was used as the instrument. Descriptive analysis was conducted, and to test the hypotheses, the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient was employed. Regarding the results, it was found that the most common form of using medicinal plants was infusion, accounting for 87.5% compared to 12.5% for all other forms of use combined. Additionally, there was a moderate positive relationship (p<0.05, Rho=0.447) between knowledge of medicinal plants and ethnopharmacological use for common diseases. Furthermore, a moderate positive relationship (p<0.05, Rho=0.591) was found between the identification of medicinal properties and the ethnopharmacological use of medicinal plants, and a strong positive relationship (p<0.05, Rho=0.719) was observed between the transmission of ancestral knowledge and the ethnopharmacological use of medicinal plants for common diseases. It is concluded that there is a very strong positive relationship significance between the ethnopharmacological knowledge of medicinal plants and their ethnopharmacological use for common diseases in the district of Molinopampa-Chachapoyas, Amazonas, 2024.
