Material and Methods: Quantitative study whose design is systematic reviews with results of multiple evidence-based investigations, obtained from the Ccochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline, Pubmed database. A sample of 10 was considered, which were studied using the GRADE scale. Results: 100% of the articles are quantitative; In 10% the design was meta-analysis, 20% was systematic reviews, 10% was a randomized clinical trial, and 60% was a cohort study. 20% come from Brazil, 20% from the United States, 20% from Mexico, 10% from the United Kingdom, 10% from Colombia, 10% from Iran and 10% from Saudi Arabia. Conclusion: The effectiveness of nursing interventions in the prevention of injuries, carrying out a strict assessment and surveillance, from admission and during their stay, through adequate ocular cleaning with physiological saline applying asepsis techniques to avoid complications. Implement care guides or protocols in eye care. Materials and Method: Systematic Review, articles with complete content submitted to a reading critique, the recommendation will be made using the GRADE system. Results: Of 10 scientific articles, (20%) Mexico, continuing with Saudi Arabia (20%), then China (10%), United Kingdom (10%), Brazil (10%), Canada (10%), Peru ( 10%), Turkey (10%), The quality of the evidence, 90% (n=09/10) are of high evidence. 60% (n=06/10) of the articles are systematic reviews, followed by 20% (n=02/10) randomized controlled trials, 10% (n=01/10) Meta-analysis and 10% (n=01/10) remaining are from a cohort study. Of a total of 10 articles reviewed, 90% (n=09/10) of these show that the polyethylene cover is more effective compared to other care for the prevention of eye injuries in patients in the intensive care unit. Conclusions : In 9 of the 10 articles it is evident that the polyethylene cover is more effective for the prevention of eye injuries in patients in the intensive care unit.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge and nursing care in the prevention of eye injuries in patients under mechanical ventilation at a hospital in Lima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-12) Rayme Llufire, Fidelia Margot; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoObjective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and nursing care in the prevention of eye injuries in patients on mechanical ventilation in a hospital in Lima. Material and method: The methods used in the academic work will be of a basic prototype and a quantitative approach that will be carried out in the ICU area of a hospital in Lima, the population will be made up of 84 nurses. The work variables will be measured through the interview and the questionnaire as an instrument applied to the nurses whose answers will be yes, no, all and none respectively; finally, the data treatment will be executed through the SPSS program to demonstrate its results.
