Ítem Acceso abierto Comparison of resistance to cyclical flexural fatigue between two reciprocating file systems, Lima - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-02) Trinidad Marcelo, Anthony; Llerena Meza De Pastor, VerónicaThe objective of this research was to "Compare the cyclic flexural fatigue resistance of two reciprocating file systems, Lima-2023." An analytical methodology with a quantitative approach, applied type, and experimental, correlational, and prospective design was used. The sample included 40 reciprocating files. Data collection was conducted using the structured observation technique, with a data collection sheet as the instrument. The results allowed the comparison of cyclic flexural fatigue resistance between two reciprocating file systems, indicating that there were no significant differences in terms of time, length, and number of cycles. The obtained p-values (0.482, 0.715, and 0.782, respectively) exceeded the established significance level of 0.05, suggesting that there is not enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis for any of the evaluated parameters. In conclusion, no significant disparities were found in cyclic flexural fatigue resistance between the two reciprocating file systems in the aspects analyzed, indicating a similarity in their performance under the studied conditions.Ítem Acceso abierto Fatigue resistance of exact fiberglass posts - angelus, white post, angelus reforpost, in vitro study – Lima 2020.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-19) Dilas Teran, Santos; Chanamé Marín, Ann RosemaryThe objective of this study was to determine the best fatigue resistance of the fiberglass posts Exacto - Angelus, White Post, and Reforpost by Ángelus in an in vitro study. Each post was evaluated using an optical microscope and measured in length and diameter with a 200 mm digital vernier caliper. A total of 60 fiberglass posts were divided into three groups: Group 1: Exacto – Angelus, Group 2: White Post, and Group 3: Reforpost by Angelus. These were then subjected to a linear cyclic load fatigue machine HTL Certificate – 021 with a 1.6 mm diameter punch, a free span of 7 mm, applying a load at 90° and a frequency of 5.84 Hz at 20 N. The results showed that the Exacto – Angelus fiberglass post achieved an average fatigue resistance of 38,692.5 cycles with a mean time of 110.55 minutes, while the White Post had an average fatigue resistance of 31,921.25 cycles with a time of 91.225 minutes, and the Reforpost by Angelus had an average fatigue resistance of 25,970 cycles at 74.2 minutes. It was concluded that the Exacto – Angelus post showed the highest fatigue resistance time.
