Adherence to ferrous sulfate supplementation includes the indication and administration of iron, alone or with other vitamins and minerals, in the form of drops, syrup or tablets to supplement or maintain adequate levels of iron in the body. The main objective seeks to "Determine the relationship between adherence to supplementation with ferrous sulfate and the hemoglobin level in children from 6 to 36 months of age at the Chazuta-2023 Health Center." Deductive methods, correlational, cross-sectional descriptive design will be used. The demonstrated will be census including 100% of the population during the May-July period of this year. To collect the data, the survey technique will be used. For the level of adherence to ferrous sulfate supplementation, the instrument will be used. It is made up of 12 questions that are distributed in 3 dimensions, with 0.816, of Cronbach's alpha reliability. For the hemoglobin level, a technical sheet will be used with a dimension that is the hemoglobin dosage with four indicators. Both instruments modified and validated by Vera and Lora in the year 2020. The data will be statistically processed with the IBM SPSS 24.0 system, and the Pearson Rho test was used for the conversion.

During childhood, different oral iron preparations are they are widely used in iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and prophylaxis. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of different oral iron preparations in children with Anemia. Eighty-nine children (age range, 1 to 17 years) with Anemian were randomly assigned to receive oral therapy in two divided doses of 5 mg Fe2+/kg/day ferrous sulfate (group FS, n = 45) or ferrous fumarate plus zinc and vitamin C (FZ group, n = 44). Objective: To systematize the best available evidence on the effectiveness of ferrous sulfate supplementation for the prevention of anemia in children aged 6 to 36 months. Materials and Methods: An observational and retrospective systematic review synthesizing the results of multiple primary studies. These studies are an essential part of evidence-based nursing due to their rigorous methodology, identifying relevant studies to address specific clinical practice questions. The search was restricted to full-text articles, and the selected articles underwent critical reading, with the GRADE system used to assign the strength of recommendations. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen. Of these, 90% (9/10) show greater effectiveness of ferrous sulfate supplementation for the prevention of anemia in children, while 10% (1/10) of the articles report that iron supplementation was not associated with a reduction in anemia prevalence, even with daily doses. Conclusions: The reviewed studies demonstrate that ferrous sulfate supplementation is more effective for the prevention of anemia in children.

Introducción: La anemia es uno de los problemas de salud pública que aún persisten a nivel mundial, y afecta a las poblaciones más vulnerables, una de ellas es las gestantes; a pesar de estrategias existentes a nivel mundial y nacional que buscan disminuir la incidencia de dicha patología. La O.M.S. (2019) calculó que la anemia afecta en un 30% a todas las féminas en edad reproductiva (15 a 49 años) y en un 37% a las mujeres embarazadas. (1), por lo que los índices de prevalencia existentes en anemia y las futuras consecuencias perjudican la salud materna y el desarrollo fetal. El presente proyecto estudio los factores asociados a la adherencia al sulfato ferroso en gestantes que acuden al Centro Materno Infantil Laura Rodríguez Dulanto Duksil, con el propósito de fortalecer la estrategia a implementar en la atención que se les brinda a las pacientes grávidas, evitando complicaciones durante el embarazo, parto y puerperio, obteniendo beneficios en salud materna e infantil. Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados a la adherencia del sulfato ferroso en gestantes que acuden al Centro Materno Infantil Laura Rodríguez Dulanto Duksil. Material y métodos: Tipo de investigación correlacional; método de investigación Mixta: que combina elementos de la metodología cuantitativa y cualitativa; diseño no experimental, explicativo y transversal; de enfoque cuantitativo; la población está conformada por 80 gestantes de centro materno; se elaboró un formulario de recolección de datos, que consta de una encuesta de 24 preguntas. Los factores sociodemográficos como la edad, grado de instrucción, procedencia y ocupación, así como los factores obstétricos de cantidad de controles prenatales y semanas de gestación mostraron asociación significativa con la adherencia al sulfato ferroso (p< 0.05). Estos resultados podrían concluir las barreras sociodemográficas y a nivel de centro de salud que enfrentan los profesionales de salud para brindar mejor apoyo para mejorar los niveles de adherencia del sulfato ferroso.

Objective: Determine the associated factors that influence adherence to treatment with ferrous sulfate in children aged 6 to 36 months who are cared for in a Health Establishment – Lima, 2022. Material and method: This study has a non-experimental design with a quantitative approach. , causal correlational level. The population was made up of 61 mothers of children from 6 to 36 months who consume ferrous sulfate as a treatment for anemia. The technique used was the survey and to collect data on the associated factors variable, the questionnaire on Factors associated with adherence to the treatment of anemia with ferrous sulfate was used. This instrument was authored by Mr. Roberts Aquino. who created the instrument in 2020. For the treatment adherence variable, the instrument was used, which was a questionnaire that measures adherence to treatment with ferrous sulfate, developed by Casas in 2020.

Objective: Determine the factors associated with adherence to treatment with ferrous sulfate in mothers with children with anemia under 3 years of age treated at the Proyectos Especiales Health Post, San Juan de Lurigancho. Methodology: the study will be hypothetical deductive, applied quantitative approach with non-experimental design. The study sample will be made up of 85 mothers who attend the San Juan de Lurigancho Special Projects Health Post. The data collection technique and instrument will be done through a survey directed at mothers with the purpose of determining the associated factors, the instrument has 24 items that were rated positively and negatively, the instrument is validated by 3 judgments. of experts with a 0.60 Cron Bach Alpha and 0.75 and 0.72 reliability. The data obtained will be processed in a Microsoft Office Excel database and a statistical analysis where measurement tables and graphic representation will be developed.

Influencia del uso de sulfato ferroso en la pigmentación dentaria en pacientes de 1 a 5 años atendidos en un Centro de Salud, Tarma - 2024

El propósito fue determinar la influencia del uso de sulfato ferroso en la pigmentación dentaria en pacientes pediátricos de 1 a 5 años atendidos en un centro de salud en Tarma durante 2024. Se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño correlacional, transversal y un método hipotético-deductivo. La investigación fue de tipo básica. La muestra estuvo conformada por 132 niños de 1 a 5 años, elegidos mediante un muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. Los hallazgos obtenidos exhibieron que el uso de sulfato ferroso influyó significativamente en la pigmentación dentaria (p<0.01). La presentación en gotas fue la más utilizada (88.64%) y mostró menor pigmentación en comparación con el jarabe (11.36%). Asimismo, la dosis de 1-3 mg fue la más frecuente (91.67%), mientras que las dosis más altas (3-6 mg) estuvieron asociadas con mayor pigmentación, especialmente en ausencia de higiene bucal. Finalmente, el tiempo de uso predominante de 6 meses (98.48%) incrementó significativamente los riesgos de tinción dental debido a la exposición prolongada. En conclusión, el uso de sulfato ferroso influye significativamente en la pigmentación dental, dependiendo de la presentación, dosis y tiempo de uso. Medidas preventivas como una adecuada higiene bucal y la elección de presentaciones menos agresivas son esenciales para reducir estos efectos.

Nivel de conocimiento y uso de ácido fólico y sulfato ferroso en gestantes del Centro de Salud Puerto Supe, 2024

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y uso del ácido fólico y el sulfato ferroso en gestantes del centro de salud Puerto Supe, 2024. Método y materiales: Es de enfoque cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo, observacional, transversal y prospectivo. El instrumento es un cuestionario, con una muestra de 49 gestantes. Resultados: De las 49 gestantes encuestadas el 30.7% sus edades están comprendidas entre 30 a 35 años, el 79.6% son convivientes, el 71.4% tienen secundaria completa, el 67.3% son amas de casa, el 93.3% son de nacionalidad peruana y el 77.6% manifiestan que recibieron información sobre la importancia de consumir AF y hierro en sus controles prenatales de parte del personal de obstetricia. Respecto al nivel de conocimiento y uso del AF y el SF; el 42.9% de las gestantes encuestadas poseen un nivel de conocimiento medio, el 34.7% tienen un grado de conocimiento bajo y solo el 22.4% poseen un conocimiento alto. Conclusión: según el análisis estadístico de la investigación se llega a determinar que las gestantes del C.S Puerto Supe, 2024, cuentan un nivel de conocimiento medio en relación al ácido fólico y un nivel de conocimiento bajo respecto al sulfato ferroso.

Nutritional content of ferrous sulfate and dehydrated sangrecita used in minsa health centers for the treatment of anemia in children between 6 and 35 months of age in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima-Peru, 2023

Objective: To determine the nutritional content of ferrous sulfate and dehydrated blood used in MINSA health centers for the treatment of anemia in children aged 6 to 35 months in Lima, Peru, in 2023, specifically in the San Juan de Lurigancho district of Lima. Methodology: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental study. Information was obtained from the nutritional composition declared on the ferrous sulfate label. Regarding dehydrated blood, the declared information on the product was reviewed, ensuring it is based on 100g of product. Results: It was found that ferrous sulfate contains only iron, with 300 mg in 100 g. Dehydrated blood contained iron, vitamin B9, vitamin B12, and vitamin A. With 11.5g of iron from dehydrated blood, the adequacy of 104% was met. Conclusion: It was determined that ferrous sulfate does not contain proteins, whereas dehydrated blood presents a good contribution according to the recommended dose for children aged 6 to 35 months.

Relationship between ferrous sulfate supplementation practices and anemia in 6-month-old children at the La Rita Health Post, Tambogrande, Piura, 2022

The present investigation was carried out with the objective of determining what practices mothers and/or caregivers use when supplementing ferrous sulfate to 6-month-old children and how these are related to anemia. The dimensions of supplementation schedule, frequency of consumption, forms of administration, amount of administration, and side effects were considered. The present study is non-experimental, hypothetical deductive, correlational. A validated survey of 30 questions was applied in relation to the practice variable and a document sheet in which data on the type of anemia of the children was collected. The data will be coded in Microsoft Excel (Code Table and Data Matrix Table), and will be exported in SPS.
