Ítem Acceso abierto Adhesive strength of fiberglass bolts using two resinous cement systems. in vitro study. Lima Peru. 2021.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-12) Muñoz Rodríguez, Senith Aide; Menacho Angeles, Gregorio LorenzoObjective: To compare the adhesive resistance of fiberglass posts using two resin cement systems. Methodology: 7 teeth were used for each cement type (Relyx U200 and RelyX Ultimate). A transverse cut was made at 2 mm from the cement-enamel junction on each tooth. The root canal treatment was then performed. For cementing with Relyx Ultimate, 37% phosphoric acid and Scotchbond universal adhesive were used beforehand, while for Relyx U200 cementing, the cement was applied directly. After cementing the fiberglass post, all teeth were cut into 1 mm thick discs, resulting in 6 discs. These root portion discs were taken to the DHL mechanical testing laboratory, where they underwent push-out testing to measure adhesive strength using a universal testing machine. Results: The adhesive strength of the fiberglass posts with Relyx Ultimate resin cement was 37 ± 14.59 Mpa in the cervical portion, 32.61 ± 8.44 Mpa in the middle portion, and 34.29 ± 9.13 Mpa in the apical portion. For Relyx U200 cement, the values were 34.05 ± 9.23 Mpa in the cervical portion, 38.43 ± 14.29 Mpa in the middle portion, and 30.15 ± 15.17 Mpa in the apical portion. Conclusion: No significant difference was found in the adhesive strength of fiberglass posts using the resin cement systems Relyx U200 and RelyX Ultimate in all three root thirds.Ítem Acceso abierto Fatigue resistance of exact fiberglass posts - angelus, white post, angelus reforpost, in vitro study – Lima 2020.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-19) Dilas Teran, Santos; Chanamé Marín, Ann RosemaryThe objective of this study was to determine the best fatigue resistance of the fiberglass posts Exacto - Angelus, White Post, and Reforpost by Ángelus in an in vitro study. Each post was evaluated using an optical microscope and measured in length and diameter with a 200 mm digital vernier caliper. A total of 60 fiberglass posts were divided into three groups: Group 1: Exacto – Angelus, Group 2: White Post, and Group 3: Reforpost by Angelus. These were then subjected to a linear cyclic load fatigue machine HTL Certificate – 021 with a 1.6 mm diameter punch, a free span of 7 mm, applying a load at 90° and a frequency of 5.84 Hz at 20 N. The results showed that the Exacto – Angelus fiberglass post achieved an average fatigue resistance of 38,692.5 cycles with a mean time of 110.55 minutes, while the White Post had an average fatigue resistance of 31,921.25 cycles with a time of 91.225 minutes, and the Reforpost by Angelus had an average fatigue resistance of 25,970 cycles at 74.2 minutes. It was concluded that the Exacto – Angelus post showed the highest fatigue resistance time.Ítem Acceso abierto Flexural resistance in fiberglass poles with different structural form, in vitro - Lima study 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-21) Vilca Huallpa, Dayana Pamela; Guevara Sotomayor, Juan CésarThe objective of this research was to compare the flexural strength between the fiberglass posts White Post DC - Fgm #0.5, Reforpost - Angelus #1, and Endodontic Over Post - Over Fibers #1, in an in vitro study conducted in Lima, 2021. This was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, experimental design, and a cross-sectional comparative approach. The sample consisted of 30 fiberglass posts, divided into three groups of 10 units each: group 1: Reforpost, group 2: Whitepost, and group 3: Over Post. The posts were digitally calibrated according to ISO 14125 standards, and flexural strength tests were performed using the Microtensile OM100 semi-universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 0.8mm/min and a load angle of 90°. The results showed that the average flexural strength of the Whitepost - FGM fiberglass was 758.45 Mpa, Reforpost - Angelus fiberglass was 1066.26 Mpa, and Over Post - Over Fibers fiberglass was 961.82 Mpa, with a p-value > 0.05. Conclusion: Comparing the flexural strength of the fiberglass posts White Post DC - Fgm #0.5, Reforpost - Angelus #1, and Endodontic Over Post - Over Fibers #1 provides sufficient statistical evidence to conclude that they are different. It is noteworthy that Reforpost fiberglass had the highest flexural strength.
