Arteriovenous fistula in the prevention of complictions in an adult patient in treatment of hemodialysis
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-03-08) Bazán Lazarte, Fresia Julissa; Panca Mamani, Yessenia Erika; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo Amado
Objective: To systematize the results of arteriovenous fistulas in preventing complications in adult patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Material and Methods: A systematic, observational, and retrospective review of a quantitative nature, subjected to critical evaluation using the GRADE assessment method to indicate the level of evidence. The articles were found in the following databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scielo, Wiley Online Library, Elsevier, and Epistemonikos. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 40% (n=4/10) are systematic reviews, 10% (n=1/10) is a meta-analysis, 20% (n=2/10) are cross-sectional reviews, 20% (n=2/10) are prospective reviews, and 10% (n=1/10) is a case-control study. According to the evaluation of the systematic review, the articles came from Cuba, followed by Spain and Mexico. Results: All the evaluations found (100%, n=10/10) indicate that arteriovenous fistulas cause fewer complications than a venous catheter. Conclusion: The use of arteriovenous fistulas is more effective in treating adult patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Knowledge and Practice of Self-care of Arteriovenous Fistula in Hemodialysis Patients in a Hospital and a Clinic in Huacho, 2022.
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-10) Cubas Cubas, Dennis Jacquelin; Suarez Valderrama, Yurik Anatoli
Objective: To establish the relationship between knowledge and practice of self-care of arteriovenous fistula in hemodialysis patients in a hospital and a clinic in Huacho, 2022. Material and methods: The research will be of the applied type, hypothetical deductive method of a quantitative approach and descriptive design. Population: Probabilistic sample consisting of a total of 80 patients, stratified sampling made up of 2 types of samples: Hospital II Gustavo Lanatta Lujan made up of 50 patients and a Clinic made up of 30 patients. Data collection method: Interview (face to face) Instrument: For the knowledge variable, a 10-question questionnaire will be used carried out by Soto Muñoz Carla, with a validation of 0.88 and a reliability of 0.98; for the practical variable it will be measured by a second questionnaire that has 18 Likert scale items carried out by Bouby Martínez Herlinda; its validation by binomial test less than 005 and a reliability of 0.850 both by Cronbach's alpha. Processing plan: An Excel matrix will be used to collect the results, which will then be entered into an SPSS version 25 database; descriptive statistics will be used, and inferential statistics will be analyzed using chi square for the correlation of variables.

Knowledge and self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients with chronic kidney disease in a Type III Hospital in Callao, 2022.
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-27) Mamani Gonzales, Jessica Paola; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette Giselle
Arteriovenous fistula self-care is a necessary procedure in patients with chronic kidney disease, in order to perform the hemodialysis procedures necessary to replace the activity that the kidneys can no longer carry out. Its importance is of high impact, because if there is no adequate knowledge for self-care of the arteriovenous fistula, infections, bleeding, interruption of hemodialysis or other adverse events could occur that would harm their treatment or complicate their health status. Objective: to relate knowledge and self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients with chronic kidney disease from a type III hospital in Callao, 2022. Material and method: it will be a quantitative, basic, observational-non-experimental, cross-sectional research with a correlational scope. The sample will be 60 patients. Instrument 1 will be the questionnaire to measure the knowledge variable, prepared by Jesús K, with adequate validity, 99.4 and reliability of 0.724 measured by Cronbach's Alpha. Instrument 2 is the questionnaire to measure the variable self-care of arteriovenous fistula developed by Mamani D, with a reliability of 0.85 measured by Cronbach's Alpha. The instruments will be administered in person, after the participants have accepted by signing the informed consent. The statistical analysis will be descriptive and inferential.
