    Factores de riesgo con relación a síntomas por reflujo gastroesofágico en adultos que acuden a botica Camposol distrito Lurigancho Chosica 2023

    To determine the relationship between risk factors and symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux in adults attending Botica Camposol, Lurigancho Chosica district, 2023. The study followed a hypothetical-deductive method, basic research, quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional cut, and correlational scope. The sample consisted of 183 adults, selected through simple random probabilistic sampling. Data were collected through a survey and questionnaire, and the hypothesis was tested using Spearman’s Rho correlation. Results: Of the 183 respondents, 59% were female, and 49.2% were between 30–40 years old. Regarding risk factors, 65% almost always consumed carbonated beverages, and between 35.5% and 42.1% sometimes consumed fatty foods, spicy foods, citrus juices, coffee, and chocolate. The use of NSAIDs and tricyclic antidepressants was 33.9% and 36.6%, respectively. Additionally, 38.8% had smoking habits, and 19.1% consumed alcohol. Symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux: 78.7% reported heartburn, pain, and burning in the middle of the chest; 65% regurgitation of food or gastric acid; 53.6% nausea; 36.1% chest pain or chronic cough; 36.6% loss of appetite; 47.5% pain when swallowing; 25.1% vomiting with traces of blood; 56.8% unexplained weight loss. Regarding treatment, 49.7% used omeprazole, 35% ranitidine, and 44.3% antacids or sucralfate. The p-value was 0.000 and Rho was 0.582, indicating a moderate positive correlation.

    Hábitos saludables asociados a la prevalencia y síntomas en tres enfermedades digestivas, en adultos atendidos en una botica de Villa el Salvador, 2023

    The objective of this study was to identify the relationship between healthy habits and the prevalence and symptoms of three digestive diseases in adults treated at a pharmacy in Villa El Salvador, 2023. Methodology: Hypothetical-deductive method, basic research, descriptive-correlational scope, quantitative approach, sample of 196 adults, non-probabilistic sampling. Results: Of 196 adults, 80.1% were between 31–50 years old, 57.7% were female; regarding food consumption habits: 34.2% consumed insoluble fiber; 36.7% soluble fiber; 12.8% high-fat foods; regarding hydration and eating habits: 41.8% drank 2 liters of water per day; 15.8% consumed coffee or soda; regarding exercise and mental health habits: 66.3% engaged in physical activity; 4.6% reported feelings of sadness; 3.1% feelings of guilt; 11.2% had difficulty sleeping. Symptoms of peptic ulcer: 17.9% abdominal pain; 8.2% nausea and vomiting; 31.6% bloating. Symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux: 28.6% heartburn; 19.9% food regurgitation; 14.8% upper abdominal pain; 3.6% difficulty swallowing. Symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome: 12.8% stomach cramps; 18.4% increased gas; 26% diarrhea and/or constipation; 22.4% abdominal distension. Prevalence: 16.3% peptic ulcer; 10.2% gastroesophageal reflux; 21.9% irritable bowel syndrome. Conclusion: Healthy habits were related to the prevalence and symptoms of the three digestive diseases.

    Manejo farmacológico con relación al reflujo gastroesofágico en pacientes adultos de la Clínica Divino Niño Jesús - San Juan de Miraflores, 2024

    The objective was to analyze the relationship between pharmacological management and gastroesophageal reflux in adult patients at the Clinica Divino Niño Jesus in San Juan de Miraflores, 2024. Method. The study had a quantitative approach, basic type, correlational level, non-experimental design, hypothetical deductive method, cross-sectional, sample of 152 adults, data were collected through surveys using a questionnaire, the hypothesis was contrasted with Spearman's Rho test. Results. Of 152 surveys, 48.7% were between 25-40 years old and 48% between 51-60 years old; in use of gastric cytoprotective and antacids drugs; 52% used antacids; 19.7% magaldrate; 40.1% sodium bicarbonate; 28.3% sucralfate and 46.1% bismuth; in terms of the use of gastric antisecretory on prokinetic drugs; 43.4% used omeprazole; 27.6% esomeprazole; 36.2% pantoprazole; 34.9% ranitidine; 34.9% metoclopramide; about the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux; 39.5% had heartburn; 21.1% acid regurgitation; 38.8% epigastric pain; regarding unhealthy diet; 55.9% ate excess food; 40.1% ate hot foods and 37.5% ate a high-fat diet; regarding unhealthy habits; 37.5% used tobacco; 38.8% drank alcohol and 55.9% went to bed immediately after eating. There was a moderate and significant correlation between pharmacological management and gastroesophageal reflux (p<0.05). Conclusion. Pharmacological management is significantly related to gastroesophageal reflux in adult patients at the Divino Niño Jesús Clinic.

    Trastornos digestivos con relación al empleo de plantas medicinales en adultos mayores a 40 años que acuden al mercado El Trébol distrito Los Olivos 2025

    The study aimed to determine the relationship between digestive disorders and the use of medicinal plants in adults over 40 years of age who attend the El Trébol Market, Los Olivos district 2025. Methods. The research used the hypothetical deductive method, was basic, data collection was through a questionnaire with closed questions, quantitative approach, correlational level, non experimental design, sample 159 adults over 40 years of age, the hypothesis was contrasted with Spearman's rho correlation. Results. 58.5% were women, 38.4% were between 51-60 years old; digestive disorders were moderate, 52.2% presented gastroesophageal reflux, 56.6% peptic ulcer and 79.2% digestive spasms, 23.9% presented regurgitation of food or sour liquid, 35.8% difficulty swallowing; In peptic ulcer, 24.9% presented burning and/or pain in the abdomen, 25.2% nausea and/or vomiting, 36.5% feeling of satiety after meals, 49.1% presented intestinal colic, 37.7% biliary colic, 15.1% flatulence. 76.7% used rosemary, 57.2% oregano, 50.3% thyme, 27.0% turmeric, 42.1% mint; 36.5% prepared infusions, 42.8% decoctions, and 30.8% hydroalcoholic extracts; 36.5% used it three times a day for ten days; 42.8% reported improvements in symptom relief, and 30.8% reported minimal side effects. The correlation was high and significant (rho=0.848; p=0.000). Conclusion. There was a high and significant direct correlation between digestive disorders and the use of medicinal plants in adults over 40 years of age.
