The objective of the present review was to know if supplementation with Omega-3 can improve the treatment or prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer. The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used, with which the search strategy was developed using the descriptors for the different databases. The information search was carried out in Scopus, Science Direct and Pubmed, subsequently they were evaluated with the Spanish Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASPe) tool, to then select the article that best answers the research question. In conclusion, this research guides health professionals to know the inclusion of omega 3 as a complementary form in the management of gastrointestinal cancer and may be a reference for the multidisciplinary team of professionals who care for patients with pancreatic cancer.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of parenteral nutrition on quality of life in patients with gastrointestinal cancer(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-23) Ojeda Palomino, Mirna Katheryne; Medina Carhuas, Geraldine Del Rosario; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of parenteral nutrition on the quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal cancer.
