Material and methods: Selection of studies, systematic reviews, meta-analysis and quasi-experimental. The research was restricted to complete scientific articles, which included studies that considered the effectiveness of compensatory work gymnastics in reducing occupational stress and musculoskeletal pain, discriminatory reading was carried out on the chosen works. The quality of strength and evidence were evaluated with the GRADE System. 10 scientific articles were selected, finding that 30% of them correspond to studies from Colombia, 20% to Peru and the remaining studies correspond to Chile, Denmark, the USA, Brazil and Canada; 10% each. Considering the research designs, the following were included: 10 systematic reviews, eight quasi-experimental studies, and two systematic reviews-meta-analyses. The practice of work gymnastics is what reduces work stress and musculoskeletal pain. Results: 80% reveal the effectiveness of work gymnastics for musculoskeletal problems and 20% indicate the effectiveness in work stress. Conclusions: The practice of occupational gymnastics in companies, whether private or national, plays a very important role, since, by reducing the incidence of work stress and musculoskeletal pain, the worker generates greater productivity and in turn reduces the index of work absenteeism.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of occupational gymnastics in improving the health status of workers at occupational risk.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-01-27) Colona Risco, Viviana Rocío; Echeandía Ramos, Katia Elizabeth; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaObjective: To analyze and systematize available evidence on the efficacy of workplace exercise in improving the health status of workers with occupational risks. Materials and Methods: This study follows a systematic review design with a population of 25 scientific articles and a sample of 11 scientific articles published in the following databases: Scielo, Ciberindex, Medline, BVS, Lilacs, EBSCO, Epistemonikos, and PubMed. These articles were critically evaluated using the GRADE system, which assesses the quality of evidence and strength of recommendation. Results: Of the studies reviewed, 91% are from Brazil and 9% from Peru. In terms of study type, 100% are quantitative, and regarding research designs, 45% are quasi-experimental, 28% are cross-sectional, 9% are prospective cohort, 9% are longitudinal, and 9% are descriptive comparative. 100% (11/11) of the analyzed articles demonstrate that workplace exercise is effective in improving the health status of workers with occupational risks.
