Methodology: Descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective study in 81 mothers of children under 1 to 5 years old attended at a health center in the Cercado district of Lima - 2019. The survey was used with the Cisneros & Vallejos questionnaire previously validated within of an educational intervention evaluation. This instrument has 15 questions with three categories with scoring Results: Of the total, a favorable attitude of the mothers was determined where 55 (68.2%) agreed with the questionnaire items, 21 (25.7%) were indifferent and 5 (6.1%) disagreed with the study items. The most frequent age group was 16 to 20 years old (29.6%), then the 21 to 25 year old age group (27.2%). Forty-four (54.3%) mothers had 1 child and 55 (67.9%) mothers completed secondary school. Conclusions: Favorable attitudes of mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age regarding poor nutrition were determined in a Health center in the Cercado district of Lima, 2019.Ítem Acceso abierto Factors associated with phlebitis in adult patients with peripheral venous catheter(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Villegas Chiroque, María Gladys; Palermo Peña, Rebeca; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To synthesize the evidence on the factors associated with phlebitis in hospitalized patients with a peripheral venous catheter. Materials and Methods: systematic review, 10 full-text articles were chosen. Results: Of the articles reviewed, 100% indicate there are factors associated with phlebitis. The 10 articles reviewed show us that there is a significant frequency of phlebitis due to PVC and that the factors associated with it are multiple. Conclusions: Of the total of 10 articles reviewed, studies were found that agreed as a risk factor: age group of young adults (40%) and female sex (20%), insertion of PVC in the emergency department (30%), placement in the forearm (20%), the use of a large caliber catheter (18G) (20%), and duration greater than 4 days (10%), the use of mixed infusion (10%), more than three medications (10% ), especially antibiotics such as Amoxicillin Clavulamate and/or Aminoglycosides (50%) and potassium chloride (10%).Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age, Cercado de Lima health center – 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-10-23) Alvarez Monja, José Manuel; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: Determine the level of knowledge about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age, in a health center in Cercado de Lima - 2019. Material and method: Descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective study in 82 mothers of children under 5 years of age treated at the Mirones Alto health center - 2019. The survey was used through the questionnaire validated by Huayaney on the level of knowledge of the mothers about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia, with 13 items that estimate whether or not the mother has knowledge on the subject. Results: Of the total, it was determined that 38 (46.4%) mothers have knowledge and 44 (53.6%) do not have knowledge regarding the prevention of iron deficiency anemia, establishing a moderate level of knowledge. The most frequent age group was 20 to 30 years old (57.3%), followed by the 30 to 40 year old age group (18.3%). Twenty-nine (35.4%) mothers had 2 children, 23 (28%) had 1 child, and 22 (26.8%) had 3 children. Worldwide, populations are aging rapidly and there must be public policies and health guidelines focused on healthy and active aging. In health establishments, the person in charge of the life stage of the elderly is the nurse and the work must be carried out under a scientific foundation and based on theories, such as that of Dorotea Orem in this case. The objective is to determine what the lifestyles of older adults are like, seen from their dimensions of nutrition, activity and exercise, stress management, interpersonal support, self-actualization and health responsibility. Methodology: Quantitative approach study, applied type with descriptive cross-sectional, prospective design in 207 technical nursing students from the Daniel Alcides Carrión Higher Institute, April - 2019. The survey was used through the questionnaire validated by Burns & Grove, on risky sexual behaviors in technical nursing students, with 7 items that estimate whether or not the student presents a prevalence of risky sexual behaviors. Results: Of the total, it was determined that 65.7% of the Technical Nursing students at the Daniel Alcides Carrión Institute reported medium and high risk sexual behaviors, with a predominance of Medium Risk Behaviors (44.9%). Only 34.3% of those surveyed report low-risk sexual behaviors. Age group with the highest prevalence of CSR was the group from 26 to 30 years old with 86.5% having (Medium and High Risk), followed by the age group from 21-25 years with 66.7% having (Medium and High Risk). High Risk) and in the group of 15-20 years, 57.9% refer (Medium and High Risk) so it can be stated that the older the age, the greater the percentage of risky sexual behaviors Conclusions: A moderate prevalence of risky sexual behaviors was determined in technical nursing students at the Daniel Alcides Carrión Higher Institute, April – 2019.
