Publicación Acceso abierto Costos hospitalarios variables y grados de prematuridad en el Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal 2019 – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-03-11) Alvarado Chico, Carlos Alberto; Paredes Quiliche, Tania Gisella; Hermoza Moquillaza, Rocío VictoriaObjective: To determine the relationship between variable costs of hospital care and the degree of prematurity at the National Maternal Perinatal Institute over a five-year period (2019-2023). Methodology: Information from the Seguro Integral de Salud (SIS) Database was analyzed. The study included 7,116 premature neonates (between 24 and 36 weeks of gestational age), born at the National Maternal Perinatal Institute between 2019 and 2023 and included in the SIS Database. The Spearman correlation test was applied to measure the strength of the relationship between the study variables. Results: 3% of patients were in the Extremely Premature group (less than 28 weeks), 7.5% in the Very Premature group (28 to 32 weeks), and 89.5% in the Moderate-Late Premature group. Between variable hospital costs and the degree of prematurity there is a negative correlation coefficient of medium magnitude rs= -0.413, and a significance level p less than the contrast value (0.05). Conclusions: There is an inverse relationship between variable hospital costs and the degree of prematurity at the National Maternal Perinatal Institute during the period 2019 to 2023, analyzed in its three dimensions: medications, medical procedures and medical supplies. High mortality was evident in the lower gestational age groups, which probably distorts the strength of correlation between both variables. Using Cannabis spp. Oil Who Seek Care for Neurological Disorders at the MACU – Peru Patient Association 2020," had the general objective of determining the usage patterns and resource costs in patients using Cannabis spp. oil who seek care for neurological disorders. To achieve this objective, two questionnaires were applied to 112 patients in a quantitative, retrospective cohort, and longitudinal study. The main results were: The average annual cost of treating neurological disorders with Cannabis sativa oil was S/ 59,331.80 lower than with traditional drugs. The difference between the annual number of episodes before and after using the Cannabis spp. oil was 3,102. The main conclusions were: 40.0% of patients with neurological disorders used 1,860 drops of Cannabis spp. oil per year. The average annual cost per patient for treatment with traditional drugs was statistically higher than with Cannabis sativa oil. The annual number of disease episodes before consuming Cannabis sativa oil was significantly higher than the number of episodes after its consumption.Publicación Acceso abierto Reducción de costos y del proceso administrativo para mejorar el acceso de nutrición parenteral en la Unidad de Soporte Metabólico Farmaconutricional Especializado del Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo periodo 2019–2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-04-21) Meza Merino, Fernanda Veronica; Justil Guerrero, Hugo JesúsThis research originated from the outsourcing of parenteral nutrition (PN) at the National Dos de Mayo Hospital (HNDM), which involved high economic resource consumption and delayed acquisition for patients under the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS) in the pre- and post-operative stages. Methodology: It employed a quantitative approach, applied type, pre-experimental, and retrospective design. The study sample consisted of 1,587 units of parenteral nutrition formulated over 24 months during the 2019-2020 period. Results: The findings show that the reduction in costs and administrative processes improved significantly (p=0.006), enhancing access to parenteral nutrition in the specialized pharmacological nutritional metabolic support unit at the National Dos de Mayo Hospital for the 2019-2020 period. However, the reduction in parenteral nutrition costs was not significant (p=0.158). On the other hand, the reduction in the administrative process for parenteral nutrition was significant (p=0.001), with the average number of days for administrative processing decreasing by -13.8 days between 2019 and 2020.
