Currently, we find ourselves in a regrettable situation where the problem begins with a lack of knowledge about oral hygiene measures. The main objective of this research was to compare the level of knowledge about oral health in pregnant women attending the Level I-2 MINSA and Level IV ESSALUD in Lima, 2018. This research was observational, cross-sectional, retrospective, analytical, and relational in nature. A questionnaire was applied to 160 pregnant women who attended the Max-Arias Schreiber Care Center and the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital in the La Victoria district between May and June for their prenatal check-ups. The results indicated that 31.9% (51 out of 160) of the subjects, who were attended at MINSA, had a regular level of knowledge. In contrast, 29.4% (47 out of 160) of those attended at ESSALUD had a good level of knowledge; these differences were statistically significant (p=0.000). The majority of pregnant women had a regular level of knowledge about oral health and were attended at MINSA.
