Ítem Acceso abierto Balance and gait performance in post-stroke adult hemiplegic patients evaluated at home, year 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-03) Velesville Velasquez, Ricardo Gianfranck; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioA hemiplegic patient after a stroke presents impaired balance and performance in walking long distances, which affects their functional performance. The assessment of these aspects during the rehabilitation process by specialists in Neurorehabilitation and related fields is important as they are considered predictive of functionality, allowing the establishment of work tools both in the clinical setting and at home. This study will use the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach. The type of research will be applied, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational. The study will be conducted with hemiplegic stroke patients, using the Berg Balance Scale and the 6-Minute Walk Test to assess balance and walking performance, respectively.Ítem Acceso abierto Effects of dry needling during physiotherapy in the spastic upper limb of the hemiplegic patient, Lima 2021 rehabilitation center(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-26) Díaz Díaz, Heber Samuel; Granados Carrera, Julio CesarNeurorehabilitation aims to prevent complications and reduce neurological deficits in cases of hemiplegia and other sequelae of stroke. Physiotherapy approaches use various methods and tools that are essential for physiotherapists to provide effective treatment to patients who have suffered neurological damage. The World Health Organization lists stroke as the leading cause of death and its sequelae as the primary cause of disability worldwide. In Peru, there is a high incidence of patients with post-stroke sequelae. Dry needling is an invasive technique used to reduce the muscle tone of spasticity, a physical characteristic left by strokes, aiming to decrease the tone increase and help physiotherapists improve the patient's condition. “A MAYOR ESTIMULACIÓN PROPIOCEPTIVA, NOS DA MEJOR EQUILIBRIO Y CALIDAD DE VIDA”.Ítem Acceso abierto Functional capacity and social support in post-creebrovascular accident patients of an ESSALUD module, Piura, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-25) Vásquez Romero, Angélica Marleny; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioStroke is a global indicator of disability, and one of its characteristics is the impairment of daily living activities in affected individuals, often leading to depression and isolation. Social support plays an important role, depending on whether social networks are positively or negatively involved in the person's development, with the aim of reintegrating them into society.Ítem Acceso abierto Neurorehabilitation program in the risk of falls in patients with hemiplegia at the Daniel Alcides Carrion Hospital. Huancayo, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-05) Castro Porras, Mariela; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioHemiplegia is a neurological disorder characterized by the sudden or gradual loss of motor control on one side of the body, passing through two stages: flaccid hemiplegia, where tone is diminished and reflexes are inhibited, and spastic hemiplegia, where tone progressively increases, causing an extensor posture in the lower limb. Patients tend to adopt modified movements due to the fear of falling, balance deficits, and coordination issues. Functional recovery will depend on various factors. The neurorehabilitation program aims to help patients improve their movement without the fear of falling, losing balance, or coordination, and will be assessed using the Tinetti Scale at the start and end of treatment to achieve functional independence.Ítem Acceso abierto Risk Of Falls And Level Of Nutritional Status In Elderly Adults With Hemiplegia At The LNS P.N.P. Hospital Complex, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-26) Mallco Palomino, Zenaida Elizabeth; Reyes Puertas, Jacqueline Judi; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioOlder adults are a growing population and should therefore receive timely and comprehensive care. Fall risk in older adults is a significant threat that leads to higher institutionalization rates and increased economic costs, posing a major public health problem. On the other hand, nutritional status alterations are common in patients with hemiplegia sequelae, associated with higher risks of dependency and falls in older adults, affecting the functional and realistic analysis to improve care procedures.
