Ítem Acceso abierto Critical review: Supplementation of vitamin D and its analogs in the reduction of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with CKD.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-18) Meza Pérez, Karina Lisbeth; Bohórquez Medina, Andrea LisbetThe following secondary research work called a critical review: Supplementation of vitamin D and its analogues in the reduction of secondary hyperparathyroidism presented in patients with CKD, aims to determine whether treatment with doses of vitamin D and its analogues reduces secondary hyperparathyroidism ( HPTS). The clinical question posed was: Will vitamin D supplementation (ergocalciferol, cholecalciferol and analogues) reduce secondary hyperparathyroidism in Men and Women over 18 years of age who suffer from secondary hyperparathyroidism with CKD? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was taken as a reference. Various sources of information were collected in Pubmed, Scielo, finding 29 articles, 15 being selected whose analysis was carried out by the CASPE critical reading tool, the double-blind RCT titled as High doses of cholecalciferol alleviate the progression of hyperparathyroidism in patients with CKD in stages 3 and 4: result of a controlled, randomized, double-blind 12-week study, finding a level of evidence B I with a grade of recommendation strong, according to the researcher's evaluation.
