Ítem Acceso abierto Reference intervals of the female hormonal profile with electro chemoluminescence methodology in a population of fertile age at the Swiss Lab, Miraflores headquarters, 2020.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-10-29) Cerda Alvarez, Sandra Paola; Sandoval Vegas, Miguel HernánFor female hormonal profile testing, it is crucial to evaluate the commercial reference intervals, as the aim is to achieve uniform interpretation of results across the female population. This study aimed to determine the reference intervals for the female hormonal profile using electrochemiluminescence methodology in the fertile-age population at the Suiza Lab, Miraflores branch, 2019-2020. Materials and Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted using all results of the female hormonal profile (FSH, LH, prolactin, progesterone, and estradiol) analyzed by electrochemiluminescence using the Cobas e411. The study followed the CLSI C28-A3 guidelines. Results: All parameters indicated a normal distribution, with average values for FSH, progesterone, LH, prolactin, and estradiol of 11.48 ± 21.10 mUI/ml, 8.19 ± 11.90 ng/mL, 10.98 ± 11.55 ng/mL, 25.05 ± 32.74 ng/mL, and 147.08 ± 473.8 pmol/mL, respectively. 80% of the parameters showed satisfactory transfer for the manufacturer's reference intervals, except for estradiol, which had 85.5% transfer. Conclusion: Reference intervals for the female hormonal profile were developed using electrochemiluminescence methodology for the fertile-age population at Suiza Lab, Miraflores, 2019-2020.
