The instrument used was the Barthel test - Functional Independence. The sample consisted of 72 patients of both genders, including ages from 20 to 79 years. SPSS 20 statistical program was used. Our research has a Non-Experimental – Descriptive design, since no variable will be manipulated, the fact will be described as it is, no situation is constructed or created, only the existing one is described.
