Ítem Acceso abierto Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy and Covid-19(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-08-04) Valladares Bazalar, Paolo Neil; Reyes Serrano, Bertha NathalyObjective: To determine the relationship between pregnant women diagnosed with hypertensive disorders during pregnancy and COVID-19. Materials and methods: A systematic review of scientific studies published in different virtual information databases (Google Academic, ScienceDirect, Scielo, Pubmed, DOAJ). Results: 29 studies of pregnant women diagnosed with COVID-19 associated with hypertensive disorders during pregnancy were included, which provide evidence of a relationship between COVID-19 and hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. Conclusions: The evidence shows studies demonstrating significant relationships between hypertensive disorders during pregnancy and COVID-19, with laboratory and histopathological analyses. The studies indicate that 26 of the 29 analyzed studies show cases of preeclampsia. Regarding eclampsia, it is evidenced in 8 studies out of the total reviewed. As for HELLP syndrome, it is highlighted in 11 studies linked to the total revisions conducted.
