Publicación Acceso abierto Influencia de la alimentación en los niveles de calcio y magnesio en personas adultas aparentemente sanas del distrito de Villa María del Triunfo(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-05-30) Cancho Flores, Erika Liliana; Huapaya Huapaya, Yuliana Margot; Parreño Tipián, Juan ManuelThis research was conducted in the Villa María del Triunfo district in 2017 with the objective of showing how diet influences the levels of calcium and magnesium in apparently healthy adults. The study was quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental, descriptive, and applied. The analysis of calcium and magnesium levels in blood serum was performed using spectrophotometric methods. A survey was also applied to a representative sample of 115 people, of whom 61% were women and 39% were men, all apparently healthy adults from the total population. Results: Regarding blood serum calcium levels, 64% of women had normal values, 20% had hypocalcemia, and 16% had hypercalcemia. Among men, 44% had normal values, 51% had hypocalcemia, and 4% had hypercalcemia. For blood serum magnesium levels, 66% of women had normal values and 34% had hypermagnesemia, while among men, 76% had normal values and 24% had hypermagnesemia.
