Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of vaginal hysterectomy versus vaginal hysterectomy assisted by laparoscopy in patients with uterine pathologies(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-04) Sanchez Julián, Sandra Marisol; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerMaterials and Methods: The study design of this research was quantitative, and the study design was a systematic review. The population consisted of a total of 50 scientific articles, and the sample was made up of the bibliographic review of 10 scientific articles. The quality of the evidence and the strength of recommendations were evaluated using the GRADE system. Results: In summary, 8 out of the 10 pieces of evidence found indicate that vaginal hysterectomy is more effective, as the patient underwent surgery with a shorter time, not prolonged. Additionally, bleeding was less, and patients were reintegrated into their daily activities in a minimal amount of time, with a reduction in postoperative pain. Conclusions: It was concluded that out of the 10 studies, 100% of the articles, 80% of them show the effectiveness of vaginal hysterectomy, as it is a useful method with better outcomes in managing patients with various uterine pathologies, unlike 20% of the articles that also support elective surgery, but the benefits are not the same.
