Family functionality and aggressiveness in high school students from a private educational institution in Lima, 2019.
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-07-23) Quique Torres, Angela Mercedes; La Torre Calderón, Helarf Rogelio
The research aimed to understand the relationship between family functioning and aggression in secondary school students from a private institution in Lima. The study had a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 453 students from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th year of secondary school, aged between 14 and 18. The instruments used were the Family Cohesion and Adaptability Evaluation Scale (FACES III) and the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) by Buss and Perry. The results indicated a significant inverse relationship between the study variables (p < 0.05; r = -0.115). Similarly, an inverse relationship was found for physical aggression (p < 0.05; r = -0.115) and hostility (p < 0.05; r = -0.159) with family functioning. No correlation was found between family functioning and the other two dimensions of aggression: verbal aggression (p > 0.05; r = -0.007) and anger (p > 0.05; r = -0.052). It was inferred that students with adequate family functioning would develop lower levels of aggression.

Intra-family relationships and antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents, Lima, 2021
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-03) Pérez Aguilar, Eysaboe Catherine; Reyes Callahuacho, David Tito
This study aimed to determine the relationship between the quality of intrafamily relationships and antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents in Lima in 2022. The methodology was based on a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design. Two instruments were applied: the Intrafamily Relationship Evaluation Scale (E.R.I.) and the Childhood and Adolescent Antisocial Behavior Questionnaire (CASIA) to a sample of 112 institutionalized adolescents. The main data analysis was conducted using Spearman’s rho correlation, revealing a correlation coefficient of -.631 with statistical significance of p < .05 and an effect size of .398. This result indicates a significant relationship between the quality of intrafamily relationships and antisocial behavior in the studied adolescents. In conclusion, it was found that the quality of intrafamily relationships plays an important role in adolescent antisocial behavior. Specifically, adolescents who maintain strong and healthy family relationships tend to exhibit fewer antisocial behaviors. This suggests that strengthening family relationships can be an effective strategy to mitigate antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-10) Rojas Bazán, Mireya Katherin; Garavito Chang, Enna Lucila
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the need for orthodontic treatment, the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics, and quality of life in students aged 11 to 14 years in San José de Sisa, El Dorado Province, 2023. A quantitative, applied, correlational, and non-experimental study design was used, with a sample of 570 students aged 11 to 14 years from three educational institutions in San José de Sisa, located in El Dorado Province, San Martín department. A data collection form was used for the Orthodontic Treatment Need Index (INTO) at each educational institution, while the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics was assessed using the PIDAQ questionnaire. The Child Perception Questionnaire (CPQ 11-14) was used for the quality of life variable, and dental caries were measured using the DMFT index. The results showed a strong relationship between the need for orthodontic treatment, the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics, and quality of life, as the Pearson chi-square test value (0.00) was < 0.05. It was concluded that there is a relationship between the need for orthodontic treatment, the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics, and quality of life in relation to oral health in students aged 11 to 14 years in San José de Sisa, El Dorado Province, 2023.

Psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics in students of the 4th and 5th year of secondary education of the educational institution № 52094, Puerto Maldonado, 2022.
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-08-18) Mamio Huesembe, Kubinska Kazuko; Meza de Pastor, Verónica Llerena
Nowadays, it is known that oral disorders negatively affect both the family and individual levels. From this perspective, the present study aims to determine the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics in 4th and 5th-year secondary education students at Educational Institution № 52094, Puerto Maldonado, 2022. The research will be deductive, meaning it will use a thought process that transforms general statements into specific ones following the rules of logic. It will also be framed within a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, and comparative approach. It is important to note that, due to the nature of the variable represented in the title of this study, the research type would initially be simple descriptive. However, considering the intervening variables, it was deemed convenient, at first, to analyze the association or independence between the level of psychosocial impact and sociodemographic characteristics, making it a correlational study. In the second phase, aiming to specifically compare the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics in both student groups, the study will be comparative. The population will consist of 150 students from Educational Institution № 52094, Puerto Maldonado, 2022; of which 90 students are from the 4th year and 60 students from the 5th year. The sample will consist of 63 students selected using simple random sampling when the parameter to estimate is the proportion.

Psychosocial impact of malocclusion in adolescents from an educational institution in Pomabamba - Ancash- 2018.
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-05-12) López Guzmán, Jairo Santos Jesús; Vergara Pinto, Brenda Roxana
A total of 226 secondary school adolescents participated in this study to determine the presence and severity of malocclusion. The observation technique using the Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI) (Appendix 1) was employed to calculate the psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics, which was assessed using the PIDAQ questionnaire (Appendix 2). The study was conducted at the Educational Institution of Pomabamba - Ancash, where the following data were evaluated: malocclusion, psychosocial impact, gender, and age. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 22 statistical package, with a significance level of 0.05. The relationship between malocclusion and social impact in secondary school adolescents was observed. In the case of absence: mild malocclusion 20.8% (47), evident malocclusion 22.1% (50), severe malocclusion 20.4% (46), and very severe malocclusion 22.1% (50). In the case of presence: mild malocclusion 2.7% (6), evident malocclusion 3.1% (7), severe malocclusion 4% (9), and very severe malocclusion 4.9% (11). Conclusion: There was no significant relationship between malocclusion and psychosocial impact.

Psychosocial risk factors and mobbing in the healthcare staff of a health center in the Rimac district, Lima, 2021
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-28) Rojas Talavera, Reyna Giannina; Urbano Katayama, Víctor Manuel
The research aimed to understand the relationship between psychosocial risk factors and mobbing in the healthcare staff at a health center in the Rímac district, Lima, 2021. It followed a quantitative approach, applied research with an experimental design and a single measurement, and a correlational scope. A sample of 213 people working at the center was evaluated using the CoPsoQistas21 and the LIPT-60. The results indicated that all psychosocial risk factors were significantly correlated (p < .05), directly (rho > 0), with the strongest association in the dimension "Control over work," which had a large effect size (rho > .5); the second strongest association was found in "Social support and quality of leadership," with a medium effect size (.3 < rho < .5); in all other cases, the effect size was small (.1 < rho < .3). It was concluded that healthcare staff who lack autonomy in their work and feel constantly evaluated and judged are more likely to be victims of workplace bullying. Similarly, those who do not receive support from their supervisors or colleagues in matters such as consultations or feedback also show greater tendencies toward bullying.

It is well known today that oral disorders negatively affect both the family and individual levels.
