Relationship between musculoskeletal disorders and quality of life of the firefighters of the breña company, year 2023
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-06) Herrera Quispe, Benji Oliver; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose Antonio
Musculoskeletal disorders affect the health of firefighters, significantly impacting their ability to perform activities during emergency responses. This effect is greater than variations in physical effort and psychological aspects, both of which are critical for being a firefighter, as these are two of the most important criteria for passing the medical exam to become a firefighter. While physical and psychological aspects influence performance, other factors also play a role in the development of firefighters nationwide, including social relationships and the work environment. All of this can be summed up in simple terms: "the population's perception and support for them," which is very important for firefighters and their motivation to serve the public.

Relationship between social support and quality of life of the elderly in the Geriatric Center Casa Los Abuelos 2020
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-09) Rodriguez Iraita, Paula Cristina; Fernández Rengifo, Werther Fernando
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the large population of humans may aspire to live to 60 years or more. The greater life expectancy, along with the decline in birth rates, is the main cause of aging among the world's population. There is an urgent need for comprehensive government action regarding the aging of the population. In this regard, basic modifications are necessary; it is not enough to focus on what we do, but also on how we perceive aging. 2 billion is the number of individuals who will be 60 years or older by 2050, with 80% of people aged 60 or older expected to live in low- and middle-income countries by 2050. With a life expectancy of 75 years, the estimated increase in life expectancy occurs when we think positively about aging. Various studies have shown that the quality of life of older adults is related to having a long life and the socio-demographic scenarios, which refer to different generalities based on their social or community well-being, and even aspects related to personality and individual or group temperament. The objective of the study is: To determine the relationship between social support and quality of life in older adults at the Casa los Abuelos Geriatric Center in 2020. Methodology: Quantitative-correlational, cross-sectional study; the sample population consists of 70 older adults. Data collection will use two validated forms; to measure the first variable, social support, the questionnaire validated by Deyvi Baca R. (Trujillo 2016) with a significant reliability level of 0.94 according to Cronbach's Alpha will be used, and for the quality of life variable, the questionnaire validated by De la Cruz (Lima 2014) will be used, with Cronbach's Alpha reliability yielding a result of 0.86, ensuring the instrument's reliability. Statistical analysis will be performed using the SPSS program.
