Pharmaceutical regulation in Peru is increasingly demanding; Good Pharmaceutical Practices seek to improve the services provided by pharmacies and pharmacies so that a greater number of pharmacies know and comply with these current technical standards. The study methodology was deductive, quantitative in approach, non-experimental and cross-sectional in design, and an observation guide with 59 questions and 07 strategically chosen dimensions was used as an instrument. The results obtained were that, of the 96 pharmacies, 17.71% complied with the guidelines of Good Pharmaceutical Practices at a low level, 51.04% at a moderate level, and 31.25% at a high level. In conclusion, pharmacies with moderate and low levels could improve their results with more advice and training from the consulting firm, while 31.25% are already complying with the regulatory guidelines.Publicación Acceso abierto Cumplimiento de las buenas practicas de distribución y transporte en la drogueria Dermaestetika en Magdalena del Mar de agosto–diciembre 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-06) Rufino Rufino, Maria Mercedes; Segura Vílchez, Tito MagnoThis research, titled "Compliance with Good Distribution and Transport Practices at the Dermaestetika Drugstore in Magdalena del Mar from August to December 2020," had the objective of evaluating compliance with Good Distribution and Transport Practices (GDP&T) based on the regulations outlined in Ministerial Resolution 833-2015—the Manual for the Compliance of Good Distribution and Transport Practices. The study was a basic research type, with a descriptive, comparative method and a quantitative approach. A 21-item Likert scale questionnaire was used to assess whether the 40 warehouse personnel were adequately trained to perform their duties according to the drugstore's scheduled training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The study concluded that compliance with GDP&T was evaluated using the current regulations of Ministerial Resolution No. 833-2015-Minsa. The statistical results showed that 70% of the practices represent compliance with Good Distribution and Transport Practices.Publicación Acceso abierto Eficacia del ácido peracético para la desinfección in situ en el área de envasado de formas farmacéuticas estériles en un laboratorio de industria farmacéutica, Lima, septiembre – 2019 a septiembre – 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-22) Torres Maccanascca, Karina; Cardoza Sánchez, Verónica; Pinedo Panduro, Lauro SócratesThe objective of this study was to demonstrate the efficacy of peracetic acid for the in-situ disinfection of equipment in the 'sterile packaging area 2' for pharmaceutical forms within a pharmaceutical industry laboratory. An experimental, quantitative, and cross-sectional study was conducted using the dilution-neutralization method to determine the efficacy of peracetic acid at concentrations of 0.6%, 1.2%, and 1.8% with contact times of 5, 10, and 15 minutes. For in-situ antimicrobial activity, the contact plate method was used for surfaces and the swab method was used for equipment. Statistical analysis was performed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Kruskal-Wallis methods. It was found that peracetic acid at a 1.2% concentration with a 5-minute contact time showed bacterial and fungal growth, unlike the 10- and 15-minute contact times, where it satisfactorily eliminated them. At the 1.8% concentration, no growth of bacteria or fungi was observed for any exposure time. The determination of antimicrobial activity on surfaces and equipment showed a 99.999% reduction.Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación de la calidad de los envases de plástico usados en la industria farmacéutica(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-13) Andrade Huallpa, Mercedes Belen; Jaramillo Briceño, Marilú RicardinaThis research was developed with the objective of describing the analyses performed to evaluate the quality of plastic containers used in the pharmaceutical industry. Materials and methods: This research is of a basic, descriptive, comparative, and quantitative type, with a non-experimental design based on a review of bibliographic information. The instrument was validated by three experts, and tables and graphs in Excel were used for the statistical analysis. Results: The quality characteristics of plastic containers used in the pharmaceutical industry were evaluated through dimensional analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis, and identification analysis. Conclusions: Based on the reviewed research, the majority of plastic containers used in the pharmaceutical industry comply with the required characteristics, and the analyses performed to evaluate their quality are dimensional analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis, and identification analysis.Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación de los factores de riesgo por exposición al benceno en la industria farmacéutica para evitar la neurotoxicidad 2021: revisión sistemática(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-09) Guarniz Tocto, Ana Rosita; Ventura Acosta, Rosa Yaqueline; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe objective of this research was to evaluate whether risk factors for benzene exposure in the pharmaceutical industry allow for the prevention of neurotoxicity, given that this solvent is frequently handled, especially in the quality control area. Methodology: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional level study with a quantitative approach, conducted through a systematic review of 25 research articles and theses on the subject. A bibliographic search was applied in databases such as PubMed, SCielo, Redalyc, and Scopus, and the information was reviewed and analyzed using inclusion and exclusion criteria before being processed. Results: A low level of risk factor was found, at 56%. Additionally, 88% of the cases reviewed by the different authors did not utilize personal protective equipment (PPE). Furthermore, the most common route of benzene exposure was inhalation at 60%. Conclusion: The risk factors for benzene exposure were evaluated, identifying the routes of exposure, exposure levels, and the correct use of personal protective equipment, thus preventing occupationally exposed individuals from suffering health damage, especially to the nervous system.Publicación Acceso abierto Gestión de suministro y su relación con la disponibilidad de medicamentos en los establecimientos de salud de la Dirección de Redes Integradas de Salud Lima Sur, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-20) Mendoza Alvarado, Verónica Ymelda; Caycho Valencia, Félix AlbertoEnsuring the availability of medications allows compliance with the pharmacological treatment of the population. In this sense, this research aims to determine the relationship between supply management and the availability of medications in the health establishments of the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks Lima Sur. 2023, where the type of study had a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design; and the information that was collected was from 198 managers of the Pharmacy service of health establishments. To determine the relationship of the variables, the survey technique was applied and the Likerttype questionnaire was used as an instrument. Where the statistical results showed that there is a significant relationship between medication supply management and medication availability with Spearman's Rho coefficient (rs = 0.352), thus establishing a medium positive relationship between the values, and a level of significance (0.05) equal to 0.01. From the information obtained, it is concluded that medication supply management is significantly related to the availability of medications in the health establishments of the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks Lima Sur-2023.Publicación Acceso abierto Implementación del método de filtración por membrana empleando el sistema de filtración EZ-FIT™ en análisis microbiológico de agua purificada en laboratorio de caramelos farmacéuticos en el periodo de mayo–octubre del 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-11-27) Minaya Laureano, Maribel Florencia; Guevara Vicaña, Rita AuroraThe objective of this thesis was to compare the implementation of the membrane filtration method using the EZ-FITTM filtration system in a pharmaceutical candy laboratory for the analysis of purified water. The research design was observational, analytical, and descriptive. The study confirmed that the percentage of recovery for the inoculated microorganisms was greater than 70%. It was also evident that the data had a normal distribution, which allowed for the use of the Student's t-test to compare the results of both methods, with a 95% confidence level for the intervals of microbial counts. The comparison was made between the TSA agar medium method and the EZ-FITTM membrane filtration method. This work determined that the mean differences in CFU recovery for E. coli, P. aeruginosa, and S. aureus cultures were not statistically significant, meaning that either technique would provide satisfactory results. This study is observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective, it was carried out in a period from January to October 2018 in three specialized pharmaceutical offices of which a total of 824 were collected and as a sample 262 prescriptions, Results: Doctor's name 99.2%, License number 99.2%, Patient's name and surname 80.5%, Patient's age 63.7%, Name of the pharmaceutical preparation 100%, Concentration of the pharmaceutical preparation 0.8%, Pharmaceutical form 100%, Dose per day 100%, duration of treatment 23.3%, Place 74.4%, Date of issue 100%, Validity of the prescription 0.4%, Prescriber's signature 99.6%, Name of the establishment 0.8%, Address of the establishment 74.4%, in addition, results were obtained from the level of knowledge about the technical standard by homeopathic doctors, this The result was from 11.8% to 71.6%. A Field, Descriptive - Longitudinal, Qualitative and Applied study was carried out. To this end, the parameters were evaluated according to the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP 40 NF 35) Validation of alternative microbiological methods, microorganisms similar to those found were selected (biological standard) in the manufacturing processes of pharmaceutical products, it was evaluated that the working material, the levels of detection were defined and applied to the different methods of surface monitoring in evaluation. It is observed that although the methods do not present homogeneous results; It is considered the method that presents the highest percentage (%) of recovery, in more than one ATCC. It is the Regular Hyssop method of Plastic Soft Nylon Point Sterile Flocked + Shock absorber Solution Sodium Chloride - Peptone. ATCC 9027 (15.30%); ATCC 6538 (41%) and ATCC 8739 (17.4%). That is why this study us to know the importance of importance of identifying and evaluating the proposed methods for the pharmaceutical industry, which is always in constant improvement and innovating in methods to streamline results. The purpose is to avoid false positives or negatives and to guarantee the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products.
