Material and Methods: The systematic review of 10 scientific articles found on the effectiveness of inhaled antibiotic treatment to reduce morbidity in adult patients with chronic pulmonary infection were sourced from the following databases: Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline Pubmed. All articles were analyzed according to the GRADE scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 80% (8/10) correspond to the methodological design of systematic reviews, and 20% (2/10) to meta-analyses. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% (10/10) demonstrate the efficacy of inhaled antibiotic treatment. Conclusions: The 10 articles reviewed demonstrate the effectiveness and efficacy of inhaled antibiotic treatment in reducing morbidity in adult patients with chronic pulmonary infection.
