Ítem Acceso abierto Risk Factors and Pressure Injuries in Patients Hospitalized in the Intermediate Care Unit(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-16) Ore Atúncar, Juan José; Palomino Taquire, RewardsGeneral objective: To determine the relationship between risk factors and the presence of pressure ulcers in hospitalized patients in the intermediate care unit of a public hospital in Lima, 2022. Research method: The project is framed within a Hypothetical Deductive method because the nature of the method is to use the truth or falsehood of the main statement from its empirical verification to create the acceptance or rejection of the hypothesis being tested. It requires the use of rigorous counterexamples to determine whether it is followed or not. This method facilitates the constant restructuring of the theoretical, conceptual, or methodological system of the research, and can be classified essentially as a method for knowledge creation. Research approach: It is a Quantitative approach because it uses data collection to test hypotheses with numerical measurement sources and statistical analysis, where the aim is to establish behavior. We will provide objective and verifiable answers through numbers that can be confirmed in reality. Type of research: This research project is of a descriptive type because variables are not manipulated, and the aim is only to describe and determine the behavior of the variables. Population: The research population is a set of cases that is defined, limited, and accessible, referring to the sample that meets a series of predetermined criteria. The population is finite, and the study will work with 100 hospitalized patients in the NICU of a public hospital in Lima. January – April 2022.
