Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the ongoing education program in basic life support for nursing professionals(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-02-17) Tuesta Gonzales, Ana Karola; Fernández Vásquez, Rubí; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerMaterials and methods: The type of research was quantitative, and the study design was a systematic review, the population of 35 articles, the sample of 10 scientific articles, obtaining as results after the systematic review of the articles, 100%, the 10% correspond to Australia, 10% to Spain, 20% to Brazil, 10% Thailand, 20% to Norway, 10% Canada, 10% to Greece and 10% India. In relation to the study designs, 10% systematic review, 10% clinical trial, 20% quasi-experimental, 10% descriptive observational, 10% descriptive Cross-sectional and 40% descriptive Conclusions: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% evidence the effectiveness of the continuing education program in basic life support of the nursing professional, because it helps to improve the knowledge and practice of nurses on basic life support and where the increase in the survival rate in the basic life support of the patient carried out by the nursing professional was evident.Ítem Acceso abierto Personal and institutional factors in the application of biosecurity measures of the nursing professional of the surgical center service of a national hospital in Lima - 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-13) Oscco Vargas, Lisbeth; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: Describe the personal and institutional factors in the application of biosafety measures by the nursing professional of the Surgical Center service of a National Hospital, Lima 2020. Method: It is a quantitative, non-experimental, observational, descriptive and cross-sectional research. The technique was the survey and the instrument was a questionnaire, aimed at the nurses of the surgical center, an online form was sent and was made up of 30 nurses. Results: Regarding personal and institutional factors overall, it is observed that of 30 nurses surveyed, 63% present unfavorable factors and 37% present favorable factors. Conclusions: The unfavorable factors in the application of biosafety measures, globally, are those that predominate; not having diploma studies, lack of training, service time of less than one year, insufficient provision of materials and supplies, lack of surgical clothing, small number of nursing professionals. As for the favorable factors, in a global way, predominating the fact of having specialty studies, the satisfaction of working in the surgical center; In addition, they feel proud of belonging to the hospital, their vocation for work and of being highly competent in the institution.
