Material and Method: the study is quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional method. The population will consist of 60 adult family members legally responsible for the hospitalized patient, during the months of June-December 2021, that is, one family member for each patient, meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Regarding data collection, the survey technique will be used and a questionnaire will be used as an instrument, titled "Questionnaire perception of the family member about nursing care in the intensive care unit in a specialized institute in Junín 2021." Methods: the study will be a deductive method, with a quantitative, basic approach. , cross-sectional and correlational design. The population and sample will be made up of 60 nurses who work in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Ate Vitarte Emergency Hospital - Lima. The sample will be taken October - February 2022, using as an instrument a questionnaire designed by Cahua Ventura in 2015, the result shows the reliability of the instrument acquiring through the KR 20 in knowledge 0.86 and in practice 0.98, thus concluding that the instrument is reliable for knowledge and practice. The nurse's knowledge variables are assessed as high, medium and low; and practice, good, regular and bad.
