Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices in biosafety of the nursing professional in the intensive care units of the National Institute of Child Health of San Borja, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-06-10) Medina Sinchi, Pilar Isabel; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices in the use of personal protection of the nursing professional in the intensive care units at the National Institute of Children's Health of San Borja, 2021. Material and Methods: It was a quantitative approach. , descriptive design, population, sample and sampling, 80 nursing professionals who work in the intensive care unit participated. Result: Of the total number of nurses, 5% were men, according to age group, 75% were mainly between 31 and 40 years old; In relation to biosafety knowledge, 15.0% reached a high level, 67.5% had a medium level and 17.5% had a low level; In relation to biosafety practices, 46.3% are at an optimal level, 47.5% have a good level and 6.3% have a regular level. When evaluating the correlation between knowledge and practices in biosafety by the nursing professional, a Spearman correlation equal to 0.34 with a p value = 0.002 was observed, that is, a significant positive correlation, biosafety practices also correlated significantly with knowledge of biosafety. protective barriers (R=0.28; p values=0.011) and knowledge of management and disinfection (R=0.24; p values=0.033). Conclusions: A relationship was found between knowledge and practices in biosafety by the nursing professional in the intensive care units.Ítem Acceso abierto Motivation and job satisfaction of the nursing professional in the pediatrics, oncohematology and pediatric ICU services of the Carlos Alberto Seguín Escobedo National Hospital, Arequipa, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-04) Chambi Fernández, Katherine Frinee; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaTo determine how motivation is related to the job satisfaction of the Nursing professional, the population will consist of 80 nursing professionals, who work in the Pediatrics, Oncohematology and Pediatric ICU Service of the Carlos Alberto Seguín Escobedo National Hospital. Sample: the total population, Methodological Design: The type of research will be applied. Non-experimental, observational, descriptive, correlational, transversal and prospective design. Instruments: To evaluate the “Motivation” variable, the “Steers R. and Braunstein D Motivation Scale” questionnaire will be used, reliable through Crombach's Alpha: achievement motivation, a value of 0.79; power motivation 0.75 and affiliation motivation, 0.81 and; To evaluate the “Satisfaction” variable, the “Job Satisfaction Scale” questionnaire will be applied, prepared by the author Sonia Palma Carrillo, reliable through Crombach's Alpha with an index of 0.90. The data collection technique will be the survey. Statistical processing and data analysis: it will be carried out using descriptive techniques and frequencies expressed in percentages, the statistical analysis will be through parametric statistical tests (Pearson Correlation).
