Methodology: This was an observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study. Eighty patients from the university's Adult Clinic participated, and impressions were taken to obtain plaster models for measuring the width of the mandibular canine and the intercanine distance. Results: The average intercanine distance in the sample was 27.66 mm. The average mandibular canine index was 0.26, with an accuracy rate of 81.25% overall, showing greater accuracy in men (85%) compared to women (77.5%). Conclusion: The efficacy of the Mandibular Canine technique for gender determination was high in patients treated at the Norbert Wiener Dental Clinic.
