Patients of both genders, aged 18 to 96, with an inflammatory profile available (for PCR, LDH, ferritin, D-dimer, and Interleukin 6), and positive rapid or molecular tests for SARS-CoV-2, in mild, moderate, and severe stages, with a history of chronic diseases (diabetes mellitus and hypertension), were included. The main objective was to describe the alterations in serum inflammatory markers according to the severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients at the Hospital de Apoyo Departamental María Auxiliadora, Lima, 2020. The conclusion was that serum inflammatory markers showed alterations with high values of interleukin, PCR, and D-dimer in patients with moderate and severe SARS-CoV-2 infection, while LDH and ferritin showed high values in mild, moderate, and severe stages in patients treated at the Hospital de Apoyo Departamental María Auxiliadora, Lima, 2020.
