(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-03) Ramos Rojas, Mady Canelú; Avelino Callupe, Paul Fortunato
In sepsis, monocyte numbers increase, resulting in monocytosis, which is morphologically evident as enlarged cells with vacuoles and finer chromatin in peripheral smear analysis. However, some alterations are undetectable through microscopic observation, requiring novel methods like digital image processing. This method enhances information retrieval by allowing the scientific visualization of numerous digital images, enabling the study of hematological alterations related to specific diseases.
