Publicación Acceso abierto Factores asociados a la adherencia al tratamiento con isotretinoina en pacientes con acné vulgaris del hospital de la Solidaridad del distrito de Puente Piedra. Lima. 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-06-04) Manchay Alberca, Santos Maria; Santos Alvarado, Milagros Ana; Bustamante Fustamante, Flor LidiaObjective: This study aimed to determine the factors associated with adherence to isotretinoin treatment in patients with acne vulgaris at the Hospital de La Solidaridad in the Puente Piedra District, Lima, in 2025. Methodology: This was a basic study with an observational design, a quantitative approach, a correlational level, and a cross-sectional cut. A survey was conducted with 100 patients attending the Hospital de La Solidaridad in Puente Piedra in 2025, using two instruments. Results: A total of 62% of patients had severe acne, and 70% had suffered from it for less than a year. The most common adverse effects of isotretinoin were headaches (reported by 64% of patients) and lip dryness (reported by 63%). Although patients had good knowledge about the disease, more than 50% were non-adherent to the treatment. Additionally, 95% received pharmaceutical care, ensuring proper dispensing practices in compliance with Good Dispensing Practices (GDP). Conclusion: It was determined that adherence to isotretinoin treatment in patients with acne vulgaris at the Hospital de La Solidaridad in the Puente Piedra District was associated with various factors, including socioeconomic conditions, pharmacotherapy-related aspects, the pharmaceutical professional, and the disease itself. On the other hand, patient-related factors (such as knowledge) did not show a significant relationship with adherence during 2025.
