(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-05) Fernandez Segura, Anita Keyla; Cárdenas de Fernández, María Hilda
The current research project aims to see the correlation between knowledge according to the concept dimension, and practice carried out by the nursing staff using the closed secretion aspiration circuit in intubated patients in the Intensive Care area of the Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho. The method: It is of the hypothetical-deductive type because it starts from an initial explanation called a hypothesis and thereby obtain particular conclusions from it. The population will be finite since only the nursing staff who work in the Intensive Care area of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital will be counted for the study, which are a total of 45 people who will have certain inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sampling is not probabilistic according to convenience, since the availability of people to be part of the sample will be seen, in a given time interval. For data collection, the survey and observation technique will be used. The instrument will be the questionnaire and the checklist that was carried out with the purpose of finding the relationship between the level of knowledge according to the concept dimension, and the practice of the nursing staff on the aspiration of secretions in a closed circuit in the intubated patients of the area. of Intensive Care of the Hospital of San Juan de Lurigancho.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-13) Rodriguez Ccaccya, Maritza Lourdes; Suarez Valderrama, Yurik Anatoli
The closed-circuit secretion aspiration technique is an invasive procedure that does not require disconnecting the patient; It is performed for the extraction of secretions from the bronchial tree in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation. The role of the nursing professional is essential and fundamental within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) teams; therefore, it is important to have adequate knowledge and practice in the management of closed-circuit secretion aspirations; avoiding complications in the patient. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and nursing practice in aspiration of bronchial secretions with closed circuit in the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima. Material and methods: The approach will be quantitative, correlational level, descriptive non-experimental observational design and cross section. The study population will be made up of 60 nurses from the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima. To measure the knowledge variable, the questionnaire prepared by Cahua will be applied through the judgment of 8 experts, validity of r ≥ 0.20 through the Pearson R formula and reliability of K-R ≥ 0.5 measured by the Kuder Richardson Statistical test and for to measure the practical variable, a Checklist will be applied, which has a validity of r ≥0.20 through the Pearson R formula and a reliability of K-R ≥ 0.5 through the Kuder Richardson Statistical test. The instruments will be delivered in person, with prior signed informed consent. A descriptive and correlational statistical analysis will be carried out. To determine the relationship between the variables, the Chi Square statistical parameter will be used, since, by their nature, they are ordinal qualitative variables and to analyze the correlation coefficient tests, the Spearman Rho statistician will be used

Materials and methods: Quantitative, applied methodology, observational or non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design, where there will be a population of 60 nurses. Two instruments with acceptable validity and reliability criteria will be applied. The instrument that will measure the level of knowledge of the nurse on the aspiration of secretions in intubated patients will have 15 questions that include 4 dimensions: patient, equipment, biosafety and procedure, while the instrument that will measure the level of practices of the nurse on The aspiration of secretions in intubated patients has 25 items and comprises 3 dimensions: before aspiration, during aspiration, and after aspiration. Regarding the analysis of descriptive and inferential data, the former will be presented through tables and graphs, and for the latter, Spearman's Rho coefficient will be applied in order to establish the relationship between the study variables.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-18) Valverde Rojas, Rosa Adeli; Camarena Chamaya, Luis Miguel
Introduction: Closed-circuit secretion aspiration is of utmost importance in intensive care units, as it can be life-saving for critically ill patients admitted to the hospital due to oxygen deprivation problems. Thus, in order to avoid complications in the patient's health, it is important to know the correct procedure for closed-circuit suctioning of secretions. Objective: Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge of closed-circuit secretion aspiration and nursing practice in the Intensive Care Unit of a Hospital in Metropolitan Lima. Materials and Methods: The approach will be quantitative, observational and correlational level, non-experimental cross-sectional design, Sample: The population will be constituted by 100 nurses working in the Intensive Care Unit of a Hospital in Metropolitan Lima. Instruments: To measure knowledge, the Level of Knowledge of Closed-Circuit Secretion Aspiration Knowledge questionnaire elaborated by Moreno 2019 will be applied, with validity 0.97 and reliability 0.88 measured by Cronbach's Alpha. For the evaluation of nursing practice in closed-circuit secretion aspiration, a checklist elaborated by Cabello 2017 will be applied, with a validity of 0.87 and a reliability of 0.91 measured by the KR20 test, which indicates that both instruments are reliable. The results of the study will allow providing a better vision in patient monitoring, identifying the level of knowledge and practices of nursing professionals on secretion aspiration in intubated patients and will facilitate a reflexive behavior in the management of the intubated critical patient, which will guarantee a better professional performance.
