Patients of both genders, aged 18 to 96, with an inflammatory profile available (for PCR, LDH, ferritin, D-dimer, and Interleukin 6), and positive rapid or molecular tests for SARS-CoV-2, in mild, moderate, and severe stages, with a history of chronic diseases (diabetes mellitus and hypertension), were included. The main objective was to describe the alterations in serum inflammatory markers according to the severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients at the Hospital de Apoyo Departamental María Auxiliadora, Lima, 2020. The conclusion was that serum inflammatory markers showed alterations with high values of interleukin, PCR, and D-dimer in patients with moderate and severe SARS-CoV-2 infection, while LDH and ferritin showed high values in mild, moderate, and severe stages in patients treated at the Hospital de Apoyo Departamental María Auxiliadora, Lima, 2020.Publicación Acceso abierto FRECUENCIA DE SOLICITUDES DE LOS MARCADORES CARDIACOS Y SUS NIVELES EN PACIENTES ATENDIDOS EN EL LABORATORIO DE EMERGENCIA DE UN HOSPITAL NACIONAL DE LIMA, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-06-28) Valencia Guinea, Luis Angel; Arias Caycho, Luis CleverEl objetivo fue establecer la frecuencia de solicitudes de los marcadores cardiacos y sus niveles en pacientes atendidos en el laboratorio de emergencia de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2017. Se realizó un estudio de tipo descriptiva, transversal, retrospectiva, aplicativa o tecnológica, cuantitativa. Se evaluó las solicitudes de marcadores cardiacos atendidos en el servicio de Emergencia del HNL sin restricción alguna, los exámenes solicitados fueron CK total, CK MB, LDH, Troponinas y proBNP. De los 1700 solicitudes se obtuvo como resultado en CK T 30.56%, CK MB 30.46%, LDH 33.93%, Troponina 4.63% y proBNP 0.42%, también se obtuvo la frecuencia de resultados normales y patológicos. A descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective, and quantitative study was conducted. The requests for cardiac markers in the Emergency Service of the National Hospital were evaluated without restrictions, and the exams requested were total CK, CK MB, LDH, Troponins, and proBNP. Of the 1,700 requests, the following results were obtained: CK T 30.56%, CK MB 30.46%, LDH 33.93%, Troponin 4.63%, and proBNP 0.42%. Normal and pathological result frequencies were also obtained. Conclusion: There is a high demand for cardiac marker results in the emergency service of a National Hospital, with normal values being more common than pathological ones, indicating that doctors request cardiac marker tests for any signs or symptoms of cardiac discomfort.
