Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of an educational intervention in children to improve the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices about washing hands before consuming food(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-09-29) Francia Niño de Guzmán, Lourdes Durley; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: Analyze the Effectiveness of an educational intervention in children to improve knowledge, attitudes and practices of hand hygiene before consuming food, interventions to improve healthy lifestyles. Materials and Methods: Simple, observational systematic verification of research results, identifying relevant studies to answer specific questions of community practice. The search was based on complete articles, which were used in critical reading, using the grade system to assign the strength of suggestion. The articles are: Israel 10% (01/10), Cuba 10% (01/10) Ethiopia 10% (01/10) Mexico 20% (02/10) Venezuela 10% (01/10) Spain 10% (01 /10) Australia 10% (01/10) Nepal 10% (01/10) and Brazil 10% (01/10). Results: The results related to hand washing before eating food indicate that not all children have the knowledge, adequate practices and hygiene materials required for adequate hygiene, therefore there will not be a complete and effective activity for the practice. healthy. Conclusions: The effectiveness of the level of knowledge, practices and attitudes about hand washing before eating food prevents diseases in children and their caregivers, is reflected in hygiene and hand washing practices.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of manual washing versus automatic washing in the disinfection of surgical instruments(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Gonzaga Ramírez, Gladys Marlene; Yancul Carrillo, Elva Rosa; Gómez Gonzales, Walter EdgarObjective: Determine the effectiveness of manual washing versus automatic washing in the disinfection of surgical instruments. Material and methods: Systematic review that synthesizes the results of primary research. Like all systematic reviews, it is an essential part of evidence-based nursing due to its rigorous methodology, identifying relevant studies to answer specific questions in articles. Results: It was found that 50% of the articles consider that automated washing is more effective than manual washing; 16.67% of the articles found effectiveness in the sterilization of surgical instruments, when manual and automatic washing are combined; 16.67% found that one of the contributing effects to produce adverse effects is incorrect cleaning and/or disinfection and a similar percentage found that it is necessary to improve the quality of cleaning and disinfection in surgery rooms and measure the biological load by photoluminometry in instruments. reuse surgical Conclusions: Automatic washing is more effective than manual washing.Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices about the safety process of surgical instruments, nursing professional, Huaral hospital 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-10-04) Eustaquio Fernández, Carmen; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoPeru has a tendency that 20% of surgical interventions end in infection of the surgical site, this may be due to the fact that a sample of nursing personnel studied, 67% report that there is no specific area to carry out the cleaning process, and that 100% of the staff indicate that the activity is not carried out in an appropriate place, they do not use enzymatic detergent to wash materials, and that 79% do not comply with rinsing medical instruments with running water, and Even worse for the sterilization process, 46% do not place external or internal indicators (4) One of the elements contributing to the transmission of pathogens are the surgical instruments, which are used within the surgical act, which subsequently implies giving the appropriate cleaning and disinfection process to reduce the microbial load, guaranteeing optimal sterility and thus preventing this type. of complications (5) One of the elements contributing to the transmission of pathogens are the surgical instruments, which are used within the surgical act, which subsequently implies giving the appropriate cleaning and disinfection process to reduce the microbial load, guaranteeing optimal sterility and thus preventing this type. of complications (5) In this context, a great challenge arises for the nursing professional who requires knowledge about the care of surgical instruments since this must be meticulous and standardized, carried out in a methodical and precise manner (6).Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge and its relationship with the practice of the surgical instrument washing process of the nursing staff in the sterilization center of the San Bartolomé National Mother and Child Hospital Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-09) Patilla Bueno, Rocio Marlene; Mori Castro, Jaime AlbertoObjective: Analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of the surgical instrument washing process of the nursing staff in the sterilization center of the Hospital Nacional Madre Niño San Bartolomé Lima 2022. Material and method: Quantitative approach, deductive cross-sectional method , observational. The population will be made up of 38 nursing professionals in the Sterilization Center of the “San Bartolomé” National Teaching Hospital, therefore, a sample will be taken from the entire population under study, as it is a finite population. The data collection technique will be the survey and the instrument will be a questionnaire, containing closed and open questions. Content validity will be evaluated by expert judgments. Univariate statistical analysis will be applied to find percentages in qualitative variables and measures of central tendency for quantitative variables. For bivariate analysis, the chi square test will be applied to measure the association between qualitative variables, to determine the mean between the categories of a qualitative variable. and a quantitative variable, the independent t test and one-way analysis of variance will be applied, with statistical significance p<0.05.
