Ítem Acceso abierto (Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2015) Calvo Sánchez, Alina Rosario; Galvez Ramirez, Carlos MichellLighting is one of the important parameters to consider as either a preventive health measure during dental work, when adequate lighting is present, or as a potential risk factor when inadequate lighting exists in the patient care environment. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the lighting level of the work environment and the operating field used for dental care in dental offices and clinics in the Independencia district. The study was descriptive, observational, prospective, and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 52 dental offices and 18 dental clinics. A lux meter was used as the instrument to measure the lighting level of the work environment and the operating field, and the readings were recorded in a data collection form. The results showed that 59.6% of the dental offices and 33.3% of the clinics had inadequate lighting levels in both the work environment and the operating field. Meanwhile, 40.4% of the dental offices and 66.7% of the clinics had adequate lighting levels. It was concluded that dental clinics had a higher level of adequate lighting than dental offices in both the work environment and the operating field.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of adequate office lighting in reducing eye fatigue syndrome in computer workers(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-09-01) Gómez Huauya, Angie Esthefany; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosObjective: Systematize the results obtained from studies regarding the effectiveness of adequate lighting in offices to reduce eye fatigue syndrome in workers who use the computer. Material and Methods: The systematic review of 10 scientific articles found on the effectiveness of adequate lighting in offices to reduce eye fatigue syndrome in workers who use the computer, were cited in the following databases Epistemonikos, Pubmed, Scielo, Lilacs , Google Scholar; All of them were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed and analyzed, 60% (n=6/10) are systematic reviews and 40% (n= 4/10) are meta-analysis. Of the 10 articles found, 100% point out the effectiveness of good office lighting to reduce eye fatigue syndrome in workers who use computers Conclusion: 10 of 10 articles found point out the effectiveness of good office lighting to reduce the syndrome of eye fatigue in workers who use the computer.
