    Feeling of loneliness and quality of life in the elderly of the Señor de la Ascension home, Lima - 2022

    Objective: To determine the relationship between the feeling of loneliness and the quality of life in a population of older adults from the Hogar Señor de la Ascensión. As part of the study, a search was made for solutions with timely nursing care for the older adult population. Material and Methods: This type of research is observational, descriptive, correlational level or scope, cross-sectional, with a quantitative approach in which the hypothetical and deductive method was applied. The population under study is made up of 60 older adults in the residence. The research instruments that were applied were: the Feeling of Loneliness and Quality of Life Test, which have a good validation and reliability index. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were maintained for the interview. Results: According to Spearman's Rho, it showed an index of -0.892, which indicates a strong inverse correlation between the variables, which is highly significant. Conclusions: According to the results obtained, it is concluded that there is a relationship between the feeling of loneliness and the quality of life of the older adult.

    Level of loneliness in the elderly attending a senior workshop at a private entity in the Rímac district, 2019

    Objective: Determine the levels of loneliness in elderly people attending a senior citizen workshop at a private entity in the district of Rímac, Lima – 2019. Materials and Methods: The research design is non-experimental, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional, and observational in nature, as situations that already existed and were not induced by the research were observed. The sample consisted of 80 elderly individuals from a private entity, 48 of whom were female and 32 were male, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used was a test. The instrument used was a questionnaire with 34 items, a Likert scale with 5 response options, scoring between 1 and 5. The analysis of the items shows a high average reliability, as indicated by the Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.9178). Results: Regarding the levels of loneliness in the elderly, 6% responded "never," 25% "rarely," 31% "sometimes," 34% "often," and 4% "always." Regarding the marital family dimension, 4% responded "never," 21% "rarely," 37% "sometimes," 25% "often," and 13% "always." Regarding the loneliness feeling dimension, 9% responded "never," 29% "rarely," 29% "sometimes," 27% "often," and 6% "always." Conclusions: Elderly individuals attending a senior citizen workshop at a private entity in the district of Rímac often experience a high level of loneliness, and occasionally and rarely, a moderate level of loneliness.

    Pandemic mourning for covid-19 and loneliness in adults from 35 to 60 years of age in Metropolitan Lima, 2023

    The objective of the study was to determine whether there is a relationship between COVID-19 pandemic grief and loneliness in adults aged 35 to 60 years from Lima Metropolitana in 2023. A quantitative approach was used, with a basic, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. The sample consisted of 101 adults aged 35 to 60 years from Lima Metropolitana. The Pandemic Grief Scale (PGS) and the Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale were applied. Results showed that 63.4% of adults had low levels of pandemic grief, 29.7% had moderate levels, and 6.9% had high levels. Regarding loneliness, 86.1% of adults had medium levels, 7.9% had low levels, and 5.9% had high levels. It was concluded that the correlation between pandemic grief and loneliness in adults is direct and significant (p < 0.05), with a low degree (rho = 0.273), meaning that as levels of pandemic grief fluctuate, so do loneliness levels.

    Psychological anguish and loneliness in nursing students of the Norbert Wiener private university, Lima

    Objective: To determine the relationship between emotional regulation difficulties and growth between psychological distress and loneliness at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2021. Methodology: The study was quantitative in approach, applied, and of non-experimental, descriptive, and correlational design. The representative sample of the study consisted of 250 university students, obtained according to the application of the formula. Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: The data collection technique will involve a survey, conducted at a single point in time, using the instruments named the psychological distress scale and the loneliness questionnaire. Both instruments have a Cronbach's Alpha of .800 and .850, respectively. Procedures: Data collection will take place over a period of 02 months. Once the data is collected, it will be organized in the Excel program for quality control and proper organization; then it will be exported to SPSS software version 25.0. Statistical Analysis: For descriptive and correlational evaluation, correlation tables and frequency tables, measures of central tendency, dispersion, and graphs will be developed.

    Soledad e intereses vocacionales en estudiantes de 4to y 5to de secundaria de una institución educativa nacional de Lima Metropolitana, 2024

    La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre soledad e intereses vocacionales en estudiantes de 4to y 5to año de secundaria de una institución educativa pública de Lima Metropolitana en el año 2024. Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental, transversal, de tipo básico y nivel descriptivo correlacional. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 160 estudiantes, evaluados mediante la Escala de Soledad UCLA (RULS-6) y el Inventario de Intereses Vocacionales Talento 4-5 (versión abreviada). Los resultados mostraron que el 56% presentó niveles medios de soledad, y solo el 3%, niveles altos. No se encontraron correlaciones significativas entre la soledad y ninguna de las dimensiones del inventario, ya que todos los valores de significancia superaron el nivel crítico de α = .050. En particular, se halló una correlación nula entre soledad e intereses realistas (r = .01, p = .861). También se observaron correlaciones irrelevantes con los intereses de investigación (r = .05, p = .518) y emprendedores (r = –.09, p = .124), lo que sugiere independencia entre estas variables. Asimismo, se identificaron correlaciones levemente negativas con intereses artísticos (r = –.14, p = .087), sociales (r = –.12, p = .124) y convencionales (r = –.13, p = .101). En conclusión, los resultados indican que no existe una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre la soledad y los intereses vocacionales en los estudiantes evaluados.
