Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of losartan plus hydrochlorothiazide in managing hypertension in patients with chronic kidney disease(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-28) Llalle Marín, Alexander; Panduro Saavedra, Eyder; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerObjective: Analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of losartan plus hydrochlorothiazide in the management of hypertension in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. Methods: This study is quantitative, the study design is a systematic review, the population constituted by the bibliographic review of 18 scientific articles of which only 10 articles make up the sample, the data collection was carried out through bibliographic review of both international and national research articles whose primary topic was the effectiveness of losartan plus hydrochlorothiazide in the management of hypertension in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. RESULTSIt is concluded that of 100%, 30% correspond to Japan, 20% to the USA and 10% to Mexico, 10% to Malaysia, 10% to Argentina and 20% to China. These results demonstrated that the combination of Losartan/Hydrolorothiazide has an excellent safety profile. However, the combination of high-dose losartan and hydrochlorothiazide significantly decreased serum uric acid concentration after 3 months of treatment in all cases. Conclusions: it is concluded that 9 of the related studies on the effectiveness of losartan plus hydrochlorothiazide in the management of hypertension in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease have favored the remission of the disease, were very well tolerated and there was an optimal response for improvement. 1 concludes that both the treatment of losartan in monotherapy and hydrochlorothiazide in combined therapies were effective, because no advantage was evident between them. Conclusión: El enalapril tanto como el losartan son eficaces para el control de la hipertensión arterial en pacientes adultos renales crónicos.Ítem Acceso abierto Treatment efficacy of enalapril versus losartan therapy in adult chronic renal patients in the control of arterial hypertension.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-08) Medina Chirinos, Maribel Benilda; Unsihuay Tovar, Elcy; Matta Solis, Hernan HugoObjective: To systematically analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of treatment with enalapril versus losartan in adult chronic kidney disease patients for controlling hypertension. Material and Methods: This systematic review consisted of 11 scientific articles found in the following databases: Epistemonikos and PubMed. Among the 11 pieces of evidence, the types of research were 72.73% (8/11) systematic review, 18.18% (2/11) cohort study, and 9.09% (1/11) randomized controlled clinical trials. 36.37% of the evidence found came from the USA, followed by 18.18% from China, 18.18% from Italy, 9.09% from Kenya, 9.09% from Canada, and 9.09% from Switzerland. Of these, 81.82% (9/11) were of high quality and 18.18% (2/11) were of moderate quality. Results: Of the evidence found, 81.82% (n = 9/11) showed that both enalapril and losartan are effective for treating hypertension in adult patients with chronic kidney disease. 9.09% (n=1/11) showed that enalapril is more effective than losartan, and 9.09% (n=1/11) showed that losartan is more effective than enalapril. Conclusion: Both enalapril and losartan are effective for controlling hypertension in adult chronic kidney disease patients.
