Material and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative review, subject to the choice of analysis, using the Grade evaluation system and establishing the level of evidence, located in the information sources: PubMed, Epistemonikos, Sciencedirect: Of the 10 reviews systematics 100% are of high quality as described below: 20% (n= 2/10) are meta-analyses, 10% (n= 1/10) are systematic review and 70% (n= 7/10)) are randomized controlled trials. Given by the product acquired in systematic reviews currently drawn up from countries such as China with (30%), followed by Turkey (20%), Brazil (20%), Belgium (10%), the United States (10%) and South Korea ( 10%). Results: Of the evidence found, 80% (n=8/10) indicate the effectiveness of manual lymphatic drainage compared to other drainage methods to prevent lymphedema in patients with breast cancer. 20% (n=2/10) indicate that manual lymphatic drainage is not effective compared to other drainage methods to prevent lymphedema in patients with breast cancer. Conclusion: Manual lymphatic drainage is effective in preventing lymphedema in patients with breast cancer.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of strength and resistance exercises to prevent lymphedema in breast cancer patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-02-17) Palomino Sahuiña, Milagros Luciana; Prado Vallejos, Sheyla Yadira; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioMaterial and methods: Systematic, descriptive, observational, retrospective review. 10 international scientific articles in English were selected using the databases Pubmed, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline, Dialnet. The Zotero bibliographic reference manager was used. The quality of the evidence and the strength of recommendation were evaluated using the GRADE system. Results: 100% of the evidence is of high quality; Regarding the research design, 90% are systematic reviews and 10% are meta-analysis. 90% point out that strength and resistance exercises are effective in preventing lymphedema in patients with breast cancer. Conclusion: Strength and resistance exercises are effective in preventing lymphedema in patients with breast cancer.
